RE: TMMY Scale Composites 35% scale Cessna
mifsudm, Thanks for the photos and the help. I am pretty sure that I have that little problem solved. Now if you don't mind would you please tell me what kind of flexible hose did you use for your
exhaust? Some kind of high temp hose for automobiles? I can make the supports for the exhaust myself out of aluminum. Thanks, Steve Mullis

Ok Steve, as regards the hoses i used they are silicone based hoses which you can find at an auto parts supplier, those hoses come in different type of bends, the one i used are 45 deg angle so you can buy one the fits your exhaust system. as for the support i used a 10mm aluminium tube. if you need more info just let me know.
regards Martin.

Dear modellers! What size of the outlets in the hood of your models? Established The openings are very small. I'm afraid of overheating the motor!

mifsudm, Thanks for the info. I found some 45 deg on line and will order it next month. I am using a 3W-150 and my exhaust tubes are 1&1/2" in dia. Big tubes! Now did you haft to do anything special to your cowl to slide it over the end of the tubes or will the cowl flex enough without cracking when when installing? I am goin to haft to enlarge my cowl outlets a little so the tubes can exit through the cowl flap openings. Did you haft to cut slits in the rear of the cowl so it would slide on right? Thanks, Steve Mullis

As you can tell in very much into lighting on my aircraft- the company's for rc lightings are ok but i like to have WOW factor- so here is the Cessna wing tip with full scale strobes and hi-output LED Nav. light- the Landing light is two flash lights from China with a super extream high output- the lighting system on board works off a 3cell LiPo @11.1v. video to come soon. hi guys, i have made some home made navigation lights covers because the ones supplied with the model are to fragile. i started first by making a mold from the old ones with car body filler then finish it very smoothly with fine grid sand paper. i made a sandwich like frame and put the transparent plastic in between and tighten it with self taping screws, then with a heath gun just heath the plastic until it starts to loose shape at this stage just put it on top of the mold and push it down words until a perfect canopy sort of shape. let it cool a bit and cut the excess plastic away.
