hi steve no the pilot is not with the kit but we are looking into making them ,i will let you no either way,
cheers glen

Hi Guys,

So Glen does the pilot come with these kits?

I've been looking around everywhere for a scale pilot that will be suitable for this model. Not having much luck here in Aus.

That said I was considering using a Little Brittain Talking doll - Emily Howard. She might make a good pilot if she is the right size. Will just have to wire in her voice activation back to the transmitter via one of my spare channels

Sweeeeeeet!!! I've got to get both of those props...

I never heard of Biela until Glen introduced it - must be from an overseas manufacture [&o]

HI DJ,

Yes they are German made. I actually purchased mine direct from the manufacturer however this was a little pricey with conversion as I had to make two transactions as there was a little mix up. All good though as the propeller arrived in perfect new condition and the box was packed really well.

Now Austars carry these propellers which is great. I think it might even work out to be cheaper to buy from them instead.

These are the same that Johnny is using on his Cessna.

By the way like your color scheme in your pics above.

Hopefully my Cessna isn't too far off from completion now also.

Thanks, Steve

I'll check with Glen and also do a search in the US...

I had my seats painted red to match the outer part of the plane...

I also had Tommy to paint a red stripe under the wings to help me know that it's not inverted.

I'm STILL waiting on Glen to give us a video... I may go with the DA 170 depending on how it flies...

I'm sure yours is right after mine...

Johnny

I'm sure they're the 6" wheels - don't know what the nose wheel is - I'll have to look at his Web...

Hi Johhny,

I am fairly sure that the mains are 7inch and the nosewheel is 6 inch.

As quoted

- 1 each 15.2cm (6 inches) nose wheel
- 2 each 17.8cm (7 inch) main wheels

This information is available from Austars website as well as TMMY Manufacturing.

Kool Beans, Johnny...

Got the PM also, excellent...

I'm jealous of you European flyers - no weight, thrust, or speed restrictions like us Americans.

Building ARF is one thing but the Airbus A320 is different, I think I would need someone to build this for me ... and ship to Japan

Not long now, and my baby will be in the mail. Check her out...notice the stripe on bottom side of the wing - I wanted that just in case it gets too far from me and I can't tell if it's inverted. Should have completed photos tomorrow... I will be going with eh DA 150 after all...

Hum, looks like the stripe is also on the top oh well, I guess it is now part of the entire paint scheme - yeah, yeah, that's it - that was my plan all along [X(]

Hey DJ,

Looking good there!!!

Now I am getting excited to see some photos of mine.

I should have some soon.

Good choice the DA 150 I am sure she will have plenty of power to supply the Skylane.

The interior looks different but nice all the same.

Cheers,

Steve
