Hello.

The engine is 215cc. When Wolfgang start to bild the engine he said 225cc.
The engine turn a 30-14 2-blan at 5200 rpm. Thats well be 22 kg. truch.
I yus a Biela 29-10 3-blad. If you put a bigger prop it well be to bigg foor the plain.
No muffler on the engine, 6 pipes out.
Its better to hawe to bigg engine or to smal. My Cessna last year. 150 cc.

I well repaint my Cessna this vinter end du somthing smaal difentring things.

Reg. Johnny.
Johnny, my Man...

Now I know I will go with the DA 170 which turn 29x12 3-blade...

I wish I could fly with you and your crewseems like you have a ball

I do travel the world alot: Russia, Ukrain, Netherlands, Japan, Korea, Etc but not with plane

Are you going to paint it yourself or send to a paint shop?

Looking at your engine photos, I will need engine stand-offs (posts) to be at least 8 inches long. My engine will be only a twin, not 6 like yours, so for the prop wash to reach the front of the cowl, my engine will need to be extended 8 inches or so from the firewall.

The photos that Tommy has shows a twin engine directly on the firewall, but looking at yours, that just won't work. The cowl is so long, that a twin mounted directly on the firewall just won't reach the front of the cowl...[sm=72_72.gif]

Mr DJ

PS. Thank you for your number, I will for sure use it the next time I travel your way...

I looked a bit more closely at your engine photos – your firewall has been modified (it is much smaller) to accept your 6 cylinder engine. I’m kool now, now knowing that I will simply slap my DA 170 right on the firewall as shown in Tommy’s photos…

When you make your wing modifications, send me a photo, please… I have some ideas of modifying parts of my bird, I’ll PM you on them.

Hi guys,

I've also just placed an order through Austars for one of these giant cessna's.

Getting excited in anticipation to receiving the model.

I've also ordered a custom colour scheme so I will be sure to post some pics when the aircraft arrives.

Cheers, Steve

DJ I think you'll find there is a timber engine box onfront of the firewall to stand the motor further forward. This is also how it's done on the 3 meter version, works a treat and gives you a place for your servos and flight packs too!!

Hi there Glen given the weight limit on the cessna and the Australain weight limit how do you think you'll get on or have the manufacturers gone on a diet with the one your building?

- Pitts style muffler system
- 5 channel radio system
- 8 each high torque servos: (2 - ailerons, 1 - elevator, 1 - throttle, 1- rudder, 1 - steering, 2 - flaps)
- Servo extension wiring

Planes Specifications.
- Scale 1/3
- Wingspan 4.00 meters (157.5 inches)
- Wing area 1.097 square meters (1700 square inches)
- Plane's overall length 2.70 meters (106.3 inches)
- Weight range 30 - 35 kilograms (66.1 - 77.2 pounds)

Hi DJ,

Have you any new photos of your baby now with paint?

I am interested to see what colour scheme you have chosen.

I believe mine is not far off the painting stage also.

Cheers,

Steve

Hey Guys,

I just received my confirmation that my Biela 29x10 3 bladed scale Propeller is on its way to me. This is the same propeller that Johnny is using on his Cessna.

Looking forward to fitting this to the DA150 that is going into my TMMY 35% Cessna.

I should also be seeing some more photos of my baby, hopefully now with some paint on it.

I'll post for you other guys once i have them.

Cheers,

Steve
