Default Mixing smoke pump to throttle ?

Hello. I am installing a 3W smoke pump system in my FC Extra. I would like to mix the smoke pump to the throttle channel so that the pump comes on above say, 30% throttle setting, then turns off below that setting, when I reduce power. I have the pump plugged into the gear channel now, and I just turn it off and on easily. But I would rather have it mixed.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Default Mixing smoke pump to throttle ?

Danny, Can an 8103 be set up this way so that the gear switch will turn on the smoke pump, but only when the throttle is above say 30%!

Thanks

Mark

I'm sorry for the delay, but I have been out of the office for the past week. To set that up, use a program mix, channel 1 to 5. Then press select until the arrow points at Offset. Then move the throttle stick the position that you want the pump to turn on/off. Then press clear. This should enter a value under offset. Then press select again until the arrow points at Rate, then set the percentage as needed. Adjusting the offset value will adjust the point at which the arrow pointing to each percentage will move from the lower value to the higher value.

Default Mixing smoke pump to throttle ?

Danny,

Will just be using this as a on-off on a TME pump. Can I assign the gear switch to the channel mix. This way I can turn it on and off easily, but the smoke pump will never run if under a certain offset percentage and flood the motor/muffler.

Thanks, Mark

Yes, you can add the gear switch to the mix, and use it to turn the mix on and off. Just select the GEAR beside SW in the mix. If the mix you are using does not have GEAR as an option, move to another mix. I see that mix 4 does have the GEAR as an option.

Default Oh well,

I haven't been successful with the mixing task. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

I'll continue to do it manually.

Best regards,

Sonny
