Default a different look.... for a 4* 120

Hello, I wanted a different look to my 4* 120 and so I did a few things that you see here. I used the back 1/3 of the canopy and made a windshield. I added a carved headrest, I rounded the tail feathers, I got a LG from TnT that is thicker and 1" taller and put on light Cub wheels. The tail wheel is a CB/T unit. The real job, (don't think I'll do it again), was designing and building the side mounted Saito 150 in a "cowl , of sorts". I cut off the right cheek, cut it out for the cylinder, and made a top cowl section that is mounted to the motor mount beam and is removable.
This was only my second kit and I really liked the Sig laser cut parts. (I don't like the folded plans!!) My nose art, added after this photo was taken, says, "Sweet Thing". I sure hope that it flies like her name!!!........lownslo...

Default 4*120

Your plane looks great, I built mine stock as was my 2nd kit, and used RCS140 for power. Hope to see you and the 4* at the INTERNET fly in this year.

Default Hi Lownslo - Plane Looks Great

I was wondering the other day if you had finished your 120 build yet. Hope it flys as well as it looks.

I have yet to get my 4*60 up. Started breaking in the saito91 last week, we were going to give it it's maiden last Friday, and ended up finding a way to kink the cable to the throttle. Never did like that cable any way. Put in a gold-n-rod connected to one of the 4 stroke throttle kits, and I really like this set up. Took it back out Sunday, we did a pre-flight, hooked up the fuel line to fill the tank and ended up with a leak in the fill hose right under the engine , took it back home and moved that out of the way. It is now ready to fly, just need to wait for a chance, hopefully this weekend, if the weather will cooperate.

Let us know how she flys

By the way, guess I've had me head in the sand to long, what is this Internet Fly In you guys are talking about?

Howwwdy Gregg, I will let you know when she flys.
I will probably be a while. Our field is closed for re-seeding and will be open June 1. I have been flying a couple other places, but I will wait for the "home field" on this one. About the fly in...... here is the web site on it. It will explain all you want to know.

I will add that I fly here once in a while and the blacktop runway is smoooooth as glass......very nice. ...lownslo..

I did my 4*60 much the same way... I cut the canopy back so I could have a widnshield with an open cockpit and use a "Marvin the Martian" for a pilot figure. Powrered by a TT91 four-stroke mounted horizontal with an cap/extra-like cowl from Stan's Fiberglas. Taller and heavier landing gear from TnT since I fly from a rough-ish field.

No picture of it yet, but I'll get one done soon.
