Wow!!! Beautiful plane!! Give us some details larscato, engine, prop, covering, retracts or fixed L/G? My US 40 lands fairly slow, so maybe you are right and are nose-heavy?

fast as hell and that is great but as I said, It lands really fast, not as great. I regret that I didnt built it with flaps. however, I know it is a bit nose heavy and I hope making it more tail heavy will make it better. I always go nose heavy on the maiden.

I, stankinator, certify that I have inspected this aircraft, found all repairs and alterations to be satisfactory, and hereby approve it for return to service as of 31 July 2015. Shoot, should have waited another day so I could get another month out of the annual.
It's been nearly a year, but I finally flew my Ultra Sport again!
The camera mount works great, but the quality of the footage is one of several reasons I'll no longer be flying this close to sunset. I'll do a before/after photo thing later, but I need some sleep now.
http://youtu.be/sThxEtYZhvQ The erratic power is due to a hard-to-tune mixture that was determined to be "good enough" to get one flight in before the last month of summer starts.
Friend of mine fortunately remembered his camera and got some artistic photos. I'll dig through those later and get the good ones.

Yep, he's almost equalled the record as well.
You should tell your club mate that the inverted record is the same as the upright one. Tell him there's no point in trying to beat it because the best he can ever do is equal the record, it's impossible to beat it.

I maidened my Ultra Sport 60 yesterday . I have an OS 70 in it and it is quite fast with the wheels up . What a nice flying plane . It rolls like its on a wire . It 's a lot of fun to fly. I was quite surprized how effective the ailerons are set at the recomended 3/16" to 5/16" deflection.

This UltraSport 40 has become my favorite flyer. Saito 72 GK sounds awesome! Mechanical retracts, flaps, HS 225mg's in the wing for ailerons.
Here's a link to some pics of it flying:
