It is nice hope they made a new sound board and don't use the same tiger unit like how they did with the other VS tanks!!

Also don't get your hopes up to soon i bet it won't be out for another year or so... Also thought the type 90 was going to be out first to??

Here is the new features of T-72

1. Using Transparent ABS Turret, when being hit (IR Battle), the explosion light will be more realistic than Tiger (Glow inside!)

2. Extremely low CG, can climb up 50 degree (I think this is No.1 among all RC Tank)

3. Recoil Cannon (like Tiger I)

4. Extremely details (The first tank cannot build all parts with RTR), some parts needed user to put on after open the box

5. The first RC T-72 in the world, the only T-72 model with rubber side cover

6. Largest Capacity of Bullet Box (Airsoft Version)

7. One crazy secret function...but needed to be annouced at 2008

All T-72 will use the same electronics as Tiger I, so it will have machine gun and full functions. The crystal location is hidden on the side exhaust tube of the tank. Brand new gear box provided largest torque for climbing up the slope.

This T-72 will be available at US around Dec - Jan. But first production really limited. Only 200 x 3 color shipped to US. We heard that US preorder is nearly full quota. Bad news is coming second production cannot be started until end of Chinese New Year (Feb is Chinese New Year month for China factories), so restart production for second shipment will be March, ship at end of March, then expected earlier second shipment is April or May.

Steve it looks really good....... I will get a few of these...if they have different running sound than the tiger I...If you guy's just put in the tiger I's electronics in it and did not change the running sound for this tank i will most likely not even want one..... This is most disapointing if you guy's go all out make a new tank from scratch and and make a beauty then be cheap and just put the tiger I electronics in it ..AT LEAST CHANGE THE GUN SOUNDS AND RUNNING SOUND!!!

Also Steve did you guy's stop the toy like fast jerking back of the tanks after the canon is fired? because this was a main complaint about the tanks since when VS tank made the first 1/24 scale tank..no one likes that feature at all!

[&o]Lot's of VS tank owners will be very sade and disapointed if it has all the same sound as the tiger I!

[&o] No sense making all these new types of tanks if they all sound the same!

Hi Steve! Were you the one who used to visit Toyeast's forum? Anyway, glad to hear from you about the new T-72. As Shenlonco said, I really hope you guys have improved on the sound effects and rectified the overdoing-back-jerking-action!

And don't forget to put in engine start-up and idling sound if manufacturing cost permits (even cheap 1/30 HL tanks have that now)...I don't mind paying a bit more for it. It may seems to be a little thing, but it'll really enhance the overall effect

The sounds won't change, they will all sounds the same. They make noise. To make different noises that costs money, and if theyre spending money they won't be making it - They're here to make money, not friends.

I think that's fair enough, they have to make money first to survive before they can talk about improving their sound effects. As I've mentioned, I don't mind paying slightly more for these improvements because I believe it is worth it.

That said, as much as I have tried to stay clear of 1/24 (I have 1/25 stuff, feels too small for big projects) the T-72 I'd own for sure, and if there were a T-55/T-62 in 1/16 I'd snap it up quick smart

As a responsible manufacturer (RC tank developer), we will hear all opinion. Business is business, like Coke can also make a nice $0.5 ZERO product. We have a very long story behind Marui, but we are really not "copy". We really hear different opinion and improve.

After discuss with our Chief Engineer today, we decided to develop another 5 sound set PCB, the originally one will use on Tiger I only. But we need time, it will be realized at 2008. Money is one thing, Dream is one thing. If we only want to make money, we already put the capital into HK stock market. Rather than spend 9 months time to develop every new tanks. Each tank excluded the engineer salary also cost $70000 USD to build one tooling. T-72 is the first impact to the market we believe, more is coming. We believe that true collectors will pay little more for a better product. We are not TAMIYA, but we are not ask for TAMIYA price also.

We welcome any opinion, whatever positive or negative. Good or bad. Battery Pack, Wireless Cam, 2.4G, Sparkling + IR, adjustable volume, engine start sound, please trust me, I am a series tank collector too, I have been to toy industrial for nearly 10 years and I used 5 years to make "Marui Tank" to "Better Tank" and sell over the world. So, I will put the product reputation in first position.

Hi Steve that's great...the way i see it if VS puts all the money and time in producing a new tank style it would be silly to use the same old tank sound for each model it would be a wast of VS tanks effert of even making a new tank style... ..here is a list of what i feel most everyone would want on the new lines of 1/24 tanks from what i have heard and learned from years of owning and running 1/24 tanks this is what needs to be done. send this to the VS tank corparation if you wish.

1, new sound for each model VS makes
2, stop the fast backward jerking when you fire the cannon
3, a volume switch to controle loudness
4, for IR when hit don't make the tank shake and move so much
5, do these few simple things and VS tank will be perfect!

Yes i would agree with what is said above. I do have a suggestion which Vstanks might consider taking a look into. For the airsoft models, it would be good to be able to simulate the recoil on the barrel as well like the IR models. There is sufficient space in the turret to do a recoil feature, which would probably require an additional servo.

I was opening my tiger up the other day due to some bbs dropping from the turret into the main body. Apparently seems like u cannot fill it up to the brim, and after that overturn it. I observed that the firing muzzle is only secured on one end and the other end is just riding on the turret casing. This causes the the muzzle to be lop-sided when bbs get stuck (when the muzzle is moving vertically up and down. Had to do a complete dissection of the tank to get it right again.

Apart from that, the quality of the tiger is pretty good. Just caught some overlooked mechanical design flaws in the tiger.

Hi mtnbikefreak that's a fault in the tiger I airsoft tank I talked with toyeast about the problem and told them to contact VS tank about it... I fixed mine the bb's are falling out where they roll down into the air gun there is so much room when they bounce they go up and over the channel and fill into the tanks bottom i fixed mine by super gluing a tiny rubber piece there to make the bbs not be able to fall through... if you take your tank apart put some bbs in and look at how they roll down into the air gun you can see there is to much open space and the bb's come through...make something to block them from falling out.
