Pics of my tanks as requested.
Hi folks.
Here is the things Ihave done to my M41A3 and Tiger 1. Still alot of work to be done. Like painting the M41A3...
Hmmm.. After uploading the pics I cant figure out how to edit and comment each picture so feel free to ask about the pics... What I can say is that the idler adjuster is very simple and cheap to make. And its working perfect. Have been running the tank for hours after installing it and still no problem.

Hi there M4, I have a Pershing and a Panzer III All HL. Did you do the internal antenna on this tank? Working well for you? I could not be sure from picture. I really like the Bulldog, it will be my next purchase. Your looks great and like my Prshing shows signs of being in the dirt on the bottom. Mine too.
Be well and good luck on your tanking.

Tanks look good, but you are the first to teach your bulldog to roll over!

Idler adjuster looks pretty solid. Looks similar in concept to one that I saw on the RC-PanzerKetten forum. Have you considered making some and selling a few?
Or, do you have any step-by-step instructions and a shopping list for someone that might want to copy your idea?

Will take those pics for you when I get time.
But for your shopping list, here is what I used:
2 pcs M5 socket head cap screws,
5 pcs M5 nuts,
2 pcsM3X10 socket head cap screws,
1 pcs M3x30,
1 piece 5mmwasher
4 pcs 3mmwasher

RE: Pics of my tanks as requested.
No worries...I know how the holidays are. I'm now taking a few days off to recover from the holidays.
What length was the M5 cap screw?
Looks like all of the screws are cap screws, including the M3x30. Is that right?
That shopping list is for one idler, right?
Any soldering or welding done for this? Looks like there was some to get the screws to attach the side of the nuts.
Full of questions, but something like this is what I've been looking to do with my Bulldog. I found another approach on the Panzer-Kettan forum but it was too complicated for me. This one looks more manageable. [8D]

RE: Pics of my tanks as requested.
Here is the pics of how I made my track adjuster on my Bulldog:
First pic shows what you need for 1 track adjuster: 2 pcs of M5X25 socket head cap screws, 1 pcs M3X30, 2 pcs M3X10 socket head cap screws, 1 pcs 4mm washer, 4 pcs 3mm washer, 5pcs M5 nuts
First you drill a 3mm hole in center of one of the M5 screws.
Then you cut it down to around 15 mm. The lenght is actually based on the idler wheel running smoothly+the 5mm washer+ 2 of the M5 nuts locking it.
Then you use a dremel to adjust the head on the M3X30 so it fits inside the head of the M5 screw
Now put the M3X30 inside the M5. (never mind the lenght of your M3X30 for the moment. It will be cut down later. The one seen in the pic is already cut to correct lenght)
Now put on the idler wheel, the 5mm washer and 2 of the M5 nuts. Lock the two nuts towards eachother so the wheel run smoothly but not to loose. Now the M5 should be just as long as the outer nut.
Now drill a 2,4 mm hole on the side of the rest of the M5 nuts and make M3 thread.
Now its time to adjust the lenght of the M3X30 screw. When done, use some locktight on the thread when mounting the M5 nut. When done use a M5 thread tap through the nut to take away any edges. Here is how it should look like
Now its time to do some damage to the lower hull. Remove everything from where the idler wheel was mounted. (Sorry, my english is not the best)
Prepare the last two M5 nuts by using a 5mm drill and drill out the threads so the nuts os smooth inside
Now drill a 3mm hole on the side of the hull as close as you can to the front. Mount the M3x10 (here you also need to adjust the lenght of the screw). Now use the last M5 screw and adjust so the center of idler wheel will be in correct position (use the other idler wheel to compare) and then drill another 3mm hole. Mount the last M3X10 and the last M5 nut. The 3mm washers are to be used on the inside of the hull.
Now its just to mount everything together and your done.
Here's a video showing the track as I tighten it.
