I agree.
I just want too much stuff. Someone send me $$.
Heck, I still want you to paint a new Durga body for me Auto, but it's just way low on the priority list since I dove into the E-savage BL project and am over budget.

Tamiya power!
Tamiya power!
LB - at least 1 person strips a spur at our club each week - and we only run silver cans [X(] - i think it might be that some people cant mesh gears lol
RE: THE LOUNGE 2
Yes, most of the time, it is the operator error.. pinion do wear, so make sure you run one in decent condition.. don't blame Tamiya quality when one doesn't do any maintenance..
With proper installation / meshing, typically gearbox hold up just fine...

...although, come to think of it, compared to what I've already spent on the E-Savage, it's really not that much....

How about a Impreza 2.5?
Also for racing, don't worry about that, at my track we have a sportsman class, newbies can drive whatever they want without worry since everyone is pretty new at driving.
I recommend a 2wd buggy/car as 4wd cars are very fragile (even top of the line). My 2WD is unbreakable on the track.

I've noticed that. I've had far less problems with the Grasshopper, Mini-Z, and Mini Frog than I've had with the Dark Impact and TB-02. The Brat doesn't count as I killed that due to poor assembly and even poorer driving. [&:]

I think a lot of it was due to impatience on my part though. I built it before the winter was really over, and should have waited for at least one really hard spring rain to clear the roads of all the winter grime. With all that crud in the parking lots, it's no wonder I kept having problems. I'm waiting on running the Alfa for a few more weeks at least, and hopefully then the lots will be a bit cleaner.

You need to stop and clean the rock / sand out when you hear the grinding.. you can't keep on driving it, man!!

Despite all my newbie problems, I've only had problems with one gearbox, and that was on the TB-02. As you may recall, debris kept getting inside the pinion-spur section of the gearbox and messing it up. Eventually something got in there that chewed up both gears real bad. It still runs fine, but it makes a lot of noise and I imagine I'll be needing to replace those eventually.
