Default Hey it has been some time sine I have last thought about an RC car

I have decided I would like to get a kit car and start doing this again, not nearly as competitive as when I was younger, but with me getting a sizable tax return back, I would like to purchase some new toys haha. The last car I had was a team losi xxx-s G+ I expect things have changed a lot in quality haha. I am looking for either a kit or a RTR an off road car rally type? If anyone has any brand choices I will be more than appreciative of any help that is thrown my way!

Rally car? You'll have to build your own. I've had good luck with modding a NTC3.

I narrowed it down too much I guess maybe like a good solid chassis that I could modify with stuff, I just need ideas my xxx-s g+ I don't even have anymore haha so I just need something that will withstand a little bit of dirt and some post winter sand on the roads. I was thinking an older TC3 or something with a shaft drive.

AE's still making the NTC3 in both RTR, kit and Factory Team kit versions. Don't fix what ain't broke I guess. HPI's got some really nice shaft-drive tourers as well(RTR only). If you want Electric, Tamiya actually has a purpose-made shaft drive rally car, DF03ra I believe(I'm using the stock tires from this on my NTC3), and they have a couple of other shaft drive tourers you can easily enough convert. HPI also offers their shaft drives in electric as well AFAIK. Associated went back to belt drive with the TC6 so you'll have to find a used car if you want an electric shaft drive from them.

I have decided to get the SC10 4x4 or the SC18 4x4 from AE and just build it as I go I still have some of my old brushed motors and I have some batteries I just need to split them and match them and charge them thank you for everyones help! I will post pictures as soon as I get the chassis

I understand it is a belt drive but I never had any problems with my losi belt so I assume AE's belt cars are just as good as my old xxx-s g+
