I really like thatTamiya TRF801 what size motor, brand, radio, servos, and exhaust system should I buy trying not to spend more than 250 if that would be ok since truggys only 100.

You can usually score F4.6's(or F .28's search for either) on ebay for around $120-140 new that were pulled out of savage X's
manifold, and pipe shouldn't be that much probably around $50-60 for both (depends how good of a tuned pip you want there are some for $25)
Servo minimum I would say would be a Hitec 645MG I will be honest its been a while since I bought servos, and don't know if there are better ones then that for less. throttle servo any fast servo should do IMO
Radio Flysky GT2 for $20 would do ya fine I own a few Flysky radios, and they never gave me any real issues. Now I will admit these radios don't have the bells, and whistles the more expensive radios have(which only highly competitive racers really use), but for just having fun they are perfectly suitable.

Dunno someone might know a better setup for less so don't go 100% off what I said wait on ordering for other opinions as I've not really ordered any thing for 1/8th scale RC's in awhile.

If you check the other forums, those that jumped onboard with this vehicle are finding parts to be a problem. Front arms are blowing out in a regular basis and the short arm upgrade is needed. Problem is, none are available. I believe this model appeared around 2009. In reality, Tamiya is not producing any new parts.

depends on the truggy and the mount...usually its not a big deal to space a pullstart engine up to fit.....

Pull start will not fit the stock mount. Be careful with your method of raising the engine. Using simple washers will limit the cooling heat flow into the chassis.

best thing is to use a starterbox....pullstarts and rotostarts are really a bad idea to begin with....... You can raise the enigne with M2C shims..

Just to say...tho the MGT is a great truck it would not be capable of doing anywhere near what the truggies are doing in the video I posted.. ...So first thing is the trucks suspension would not soak up those hits very well and the truck would end up upside down pretty much non stop..It would be bucking, kicking and cartwheeling.....Secondly the truck is going to operate at about half the speed those truggies are, so it will not be capable of hitting the big air with such short run ups.....And thirdly the truck will not be anywhere near as durable, These truggies will take hits and jumps that will shatter that MGT.......... Noe in all fairness those are $2000.00 fully equipped race truggies and the MGT is a $400.00 RTR.......So in all fairness I am not comparing equal machines by any means nor am I bashing the MGT as it is quite nice........... But if you like the action I posted in my videos, high speeds over rough terrain and slinging off big air jumps over and over again then a Truggy is the machine for you, No MT can come close to hanging with the machines in my video doing what we are dojng in that video.

Starter box's are awesome, u place the car on the box and locate it on the taps. It's spring loaded with a pressure switch so it only starts cranking the motor when u push down on the buggy... Only down side it does require more maintenance than a pull starter

Generally u buy a specific starter box or one that is comparable with ur chassis.
so what that means is, u need to be able to set the locating tabs to fit ur buggy so it's secure when starting.

one good thing about running a bump start engine, as they call it. Is they don't have a cam for a pull start so they have a lighter rotating mass and makes it a more responsive engine.

I Am not sure Ia m following how you think a starterbox is more maintenance ? other then having to charge batteries a starterbox is far easier to live with tday to day hen any pullstart or rotostart..........Starterboxxes are also a bunch more reliable too................. The only issue I see with them is guys dont quite understand how to set them up properly....but once they have that under their belt and have the box up and running they probably wont want to touch a a pull or roto again.......As its a huge PITA next to a starterbox.......
