Default Just a 'lil Flux I been building.

The devil makes work for idle hands...

Truck has:
Desertboy 17 kit with battery tray and skid.
HPI HD top gear.
Savox 20kg Titanium geared servo.
High torque servo spring.
RC Innovations LST shock mount kit.
Losi Aftershock shocks.
50/50 rubber/metal shielded bearings throughout.
Mix of Stainless and black oxide high tensile hardware.
Twin 3s Turnigy 40-50c 5000 lipos

To come:
HD XL axles in the post.
MMT bodyshell.
RC Innovations 23mm hex kit.
Some sort of offset rim/tire combo. Haven't decided yet.

Wheelbase presently stands at 17.6 inches. With the wide rims and axles it will look a tad more in proportion.

What the bloody hell is that blimy litt'ul bastud supp'osed to be? It looks like a Savage with a stretch and hmmm no body....what is it? Pretty neat though. I'm guessing 1/5th scale dragster or sand rail/hill climber? Or you're getting a wider suspension with that stretch for an overall larger monster truck look, I see...

Very nice looking. Chassis looks as beefy as a normal savage but the CG is nice and low.

Hey Eric, glad to see the ol '36 is still doing you proud. Yeah, it gonna be big but it's still going to be pretty light. Overall target is 15lbs wih bodyshell and packs. Considering it's about 2 inches off 1/5th scale I don't think that'll be too bad.

GCM are responsible for the chassis. To be frank, the design and finish are top notch and miles ahead of some other companies. For a start, the GCM design flips the electronics around and reverses the transmission so the damn slipper nut won't undo on it's own anymore. I had their RB3 chassis before for the E-savage and once I'd ironed out the bugs in the drivetrain it was killer.

Got her finished up and run tonight. XL axles came in and the truck looks great with some 40 series dishes. Ghetto rigged some homemade velcro straps and foam blocks in there fitted some test 4s packs, setup the steering and off we went

Erm, I think I need a new shell.

What a hamster would see, shortly before heaven.

The wiring really worked out great on this. Crossing the packs retains perfect symmetry.

It'a a huge bugger. My F-104 pro looks rather small compared to it, and it's got a long wheelbase for a 1/10th.

Quite frankly, it's ballistic. Dump the throttle and the truck skips off the floor as the tires grip, then simply pisses off in whichever direction it happens to be pointing, and this is only on 4s. I'm going to drop to a 17t pinion to ease the temps for 6s as I'll be running big joes on Tech5 rims and the truck is presently sat at 13 lb 8oz RTR. The servo and upgraded spring have it turning on a dime too, which surprised me, very stable too.

Just a new pic, wearing the 40 series joes and tech 5s. Geared 17/44 with them on 6s.
