Hey warheadforever, can you please keep your images limited to about 640x480 when you post full size pics please? Thanks.

Will get some pictures of my completed center diff setup in my Maxx soon.

I also have a new project coming soon that I will be able to post until the engine goes in it, since it won't be electric or nitro until it gets the engine . A couple of you know what I am talking about so don't ruin the surprise.

Lokes great Krawlin! Cant wait to see it run! How do you like those EC5 or EC3 or whatever they are connectors? Do you like them more than deans? Like are they easier to pull apart and stuff?

They are nice because when you plug them in you don't get that spark like deans. However you basically have to stand on your truck and jerk to get them apart though . I amd liking those traxxas connecters the more and more I look at them. However I have to much stuff to comvert, I am sticking with deans.

I never said deans were better. They are all a no loss connector. It is just stupid for me to convert all 20 somthin batteries I have to traxxas connecters or EC3's. I don't like how the traxxas connecter solder up, and I don't like how hard the EC3's are to pull. So i will stick with deans .

I must have been thinking of some one ells that kept telling me how much better Deans were.
My only problem with deans is they are to small.

I love the EC5's, great plugs. And Fuse is only partially correct. I thought there was no spark/arcing at all, but there actually is, the spark/arcing is just alot less/smaller compared to deans connectors. But yes, they are a real PITA to get apart.

I think it would be easier to solder the TRX connectors if you hold the line on the metal tabs where the solder can't go past with pliers. that was my main problem when soldering, and then they wouldnt push all the way into the plastic body. also if you squish the end of the wire so it is flatter and doesn't stick up as much it will make a better solder joint and it will be easier to push into the plastic. And its gnna be sunny and 60-70 degrees here for the next week so I'll be able to try out the 1.5 inch extended pede!

Just got a video of my Maxx, and of course the front diff stripped. Seems like whenever I take a video of it something breaks. [&:][:@]

It's uploading now, will be a couple hours.

Here is the video of it running -

That is a link to my album for view all, click that (copy&paste that into your address bar actually) then go to the 7th row down, and it will be the 3rd one over, that is the video of it running.

You will have to edit copy paste the link into your address bar, RCU updated the editor/posting thing and the stupid thing wont let me post a link where you can click on it!

is there a way to limit the differential slip on a stampede? When im going in gravelpretty fast and i just barely touch the brakes, it always spins out. Idont want to lock the differential, or make it super tight, but isthere a way to make it a little tighter? and also, how would I getwater outof sealed bearings? Could I just wait for it to dry up? its just tap water, so i dont think it would rust.

Spray the bearings with WD-40, dry with a paper towel, then oil them. They can rust with tap water so you need to completely dry them (hard because they are sealed) or use something to displace the water (WD).

You can fill the differential with a heavy grease. It wont last forever as its not a sealed diff but it will help with spinning out.

The body is looking great fuse! And I agree with HWS, put some heavy grease in the diff, should help.

Its geared 9 tooth pinion and 51 tooth spur. It's a really unusual gearing setup, but I have to have such a small pinion because it has stock Maxx diffs. With 1/8 buggy/truggy diffs in it I will be able to use a bigger and more common pinion size. And no slipper, the center diff somewhat acts as a slipper in that if the front or rear driveline takes a shock, it can basically allow for the front or rear driveline to spin faster or slower with the shock it receives. I may get an RCM Slipperential though once the 50 tooth version comes out and if my GF will let me....

And that body is lookin great Fuse! I can't tell, are those M's painted or are they a decal?
