Hey you guys.

I have just ordered the aloy motor mount, and want to know if I still should use the "paper spacer" thats lokated between the motorn mount and the motor, or if the aloy one acts more like a heat sink?

/tobias

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread

yes I do it stops rattling an stop the screws coming loose

+ it means you get a special contact that stops scratches and helps heat loss

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread

you can use it if you want to, but if you should happen to lose it...its no big deal.

Ok, I will probebly keep it, even that my guts tells me to loose it to gain more heat sink "functionality".

No. Theres no need for talking trash or humiliating other people in this thread. If you are not going to talk about the TT-01 or have nothing nice to say, then stay out of this thread.

I have a TT01R with a Photon Speed 20t motor. I recently put a 26t pinion and 55t spur gear in, so much more top speed from the 22/58, and the acceleration is still awesome. The engine doesnt over heat either which is a bonus ;) I think it's still a littler under geared, so I might go up to 27 or 28 pinion, maybe. I'll speed trap to see what speeds I'm getting, my guess is 40-50kph. What you guys think.

The car handles pretty good (needs some better tires for street use though), and it's great being able to adjust the setup for almost any given situation.

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread

Im using a 27t and 19/16 and i get around 60kph.. I doubt a 20t with that gearing will only do 40-50.
