Default Aerofly Pro - New Models - Loading Probs

Somewhere in this forum I found a link to WWW.RCSIM.DE, and having registered, downloaded several new planes.

The problem is, having unzipped them into the correct directory area, getting them to load properly.

I found that with the Candyman Mustang I had to change the version no. in the .TMD file from 1.5.0 to 1.2.0. This seems to work fine (except that the flaps move UP instead of DOWN!!), but doesn't seem work for other aircraft.

Has anyone else tried these downloads with a greater amount of success?

That site is great, but I can't get certain of the models to work either. Candyman is one. Most of the models work fine.

Seems strange Mike that Candyman is the ONLY one that I've managed to get working!

What models do you recommend, and did you have to mess around with the .TMD files?

Candyman is great (Unless you try to use flaps!)

Sorted it guys!!

I should have RTFM'd properly ........ When you create the directory for the new aircraft, it MUST be exactly the same name as the first part of the ZIP file ........DOH!!

I can't get the Raven to work, or candy man either. Most models are no problem. I download from:

http://www.rc-sim.de/index1.htm

Regards.

I'm having problems getting the Twinjets to work but I suspect it's the folder naming issue.

Quick question - Is there an easy way (like in G2) to make the models visually bigger ? The Spitfire is tiny sitting there on the runway.

Cheers - Ditchit

Would add that I prefer Aerofly Pro to G2 having had both.

Hi Ian / Mike

I think I know why you are having probs with the Raven ......

The ZIP file is called Raven_ma.zip, this holds a separate folder called Raven, which in turn holds the 5 files ...... note that the 5 files are called Raven.*** and NOT Raven_ma.***

Make sure the aircraft directory in this case is called Raven.

DITCHIT ..... The Twinjet is similar .... the aircraft file has to be AS_Twinjet, not AS_Twinjet_upd, and don't forget to put the Twinjet.wav file in the sound directory.

Bob is most definately your Father's brother!! ...... ENJOY

I don't. You wouldn't think I wrote software for a living would you....Ahhhhh !

Do I need the Volume 1 add-on to use the TwinJet and Kantana ?

I have AS_TwinjetW.*** in a AS_TwinjetW subfolder of aircraft. Still no luck.

Thanks for the offer Miskin but I don't reckon it would sort the problem. Advise you remove your email address as well otherwise you will get tonnes of spam.

I reckon that you need Volume 1 to use some of the other Models like the Kantana and Twinjet. It's not that they don't work...they just don't appear in the model list.

Anyone just got the standard version with the patch (not volume 1) and got these models working ?
