Default Amsoil 2-Cycle Oil

Hello,

In my 23cc cy engine I used to use MotoMaster 2-Cycle Oil which I used to mix 35ml of oil with gas per liter. However, I was told it was to rich for the engine. Now I am wanting to switch to Amsoil Synthetic 2-Cycle Oil. How many ml oil should I be mixing per 1 liter with the gas?

Thank you
Jay

Pop open the reciever box and take out the battery, you'll be able to find out its specs.

I believe the Mutilator is a rebrand of the smartech buggy - which isnt really a bad thing, its a fine buggy and you probably didnt pay much.

In terms of the engine, I dont have one but I'd assume it comes with a smartech 23cc.

Thanx for the reply. We did open the receiver box and took out the battery but unfortunately there are not any specs on it. Thus, have no idea how long to even charge it for.
We purchased this buggy from Hobbypro and they had advertised that it was a 23cc Zenoah engine and a futaba controller. However, when we received the buggy, it is in fact a CY 23cc engine and JR controller. I am very upset with Hobbypro for lying about their products, however yes you are right when you say I got the buggy at a good price. In comparison to a Zenoah engine how is a CY? I do not know much about the JR controller either. I was told by a hobby shop here I still purchased a good buggy for the paid price.

Here is some info on it:
http://www.hobbytron.com/GasPoweredR...atorJHCH6.html

As for the battery and charger, you have to look at at them to see how many Mah the batteri is , and how much the charger makes..

The CY engine is fine.

As for the lies, thats basically normal when you buy any of the knockoff vehicles. No website has accurate specs, everyone says something different. Who knows what you'll actually get.

That said, you didn't get terrible equipment.

The buggy you bought looks just like my Smartech buggy, so its probably the same. Mine came with a 23cc Smartech engine, and it runs good stock. I added a Jetpro pipe, and now it is like a whole new engine. The battery that came with mine is an 1800mAh NiCd battery, but have upgraded to a 2600mAh NiMH.

It's a Duratrax Firehammer/Carson Attack/Smartech. That's a nice looking vehicle. I like the tires.

All clones, all pretty much the same!

Looks like Jay_S edited the question today at the top and then posted it again just today.

Jay_S,

You are running about a 28:1 ratio. I don't think there is a problem with the ratio you are using now, which is about 35ml oil for every 1 liter of gas.

You might try 30:1 (33 ml oil). Everyone has an opinion on the gas/oil ratios surprisingly!

I run 25:1 and don't have any problems.

Check out this page which will give you the gas/oil mix amounts:
