Default os 32 H engine

Will an os32 H engine bolt up to my raptor 30V1? What about the os37 H
Is there anything that would need to be changed on heli?
Would I be happy with this engine??
I am a newbe and know very little about these engines.
Thanks for all replies.

I can never keep track of the letters, H, SXH etc. but it seems like it (OS 32 H) is a heli engine and as such should go straight in - it's what I am using. As for the OS 37 I want one myself and expect that to slot straight in if ever I get one.

Both the 32 and 37 use the same bolt pattern and either will fit in your Raptor.

I've been doing some research on the os 37h engine. Seems this is a ringed engine. What's the proper way to break in this engine? How long is break in?
I really enjoy RC Universe. Replies are straight forward without all the bs I've seen on the other site I used to visit. KEEP IT UP!!

Run it slightly but not slobbering rich, hover for 2 minutes, land and idle for 2 minutes. Do that a tank and lean it a couple clicks at a time till its running right.

Don't over heat it. Let me say that again, DON'T OVER HEAT IT.

After each landing touch the back plate. If you can't keep your fingers on it for atleast 3 seconds your running too hot, if its cold you can go leaner by a click or 2 w/o hurting everything. It should be warm but not burn you.

For the 37 I would give Heliproz a ring and get the "hatori style" one they sell under thier Maverikk brand, its bigger and gives the 37 some breathing room. It will run on the smaller muffler but the 15 dollars or whatever that muffler costs is well worth it, it made an immediate difference in my Shuttle.

Must confess I personally don't run engines in though I do take it easier in the beginning and cycle it - always trying to watch out for overheating plus run slightly richer to begin with.

I don't subscribe to the notion that you need an engine slathering rich for gallons on end to break it in.

A little extra rich for a few tanks is about it. 90 percent of ring seating is going to be done in the first tank anyways and I think its best to get them up to the temperature they are going to be run at to break them in properly.

Non ringed engines actually need to get hot to expand the top of the liner or you can end up damaging the rod and wrist pin due to the tight fit at the top.

Aluminum piston with a Brass piston liner thats Chrome plated.

ABN replace chrome with Nickel

No rings. When they run the metals expand at different rates. They also use a tapered piston sleeve that is tighter at the top. If you don't heat it sufficently to expand the top it puts strain on the rod and pin at the top of every stroke.

I only fly them in planks. All my heli's have ringed engines.
