Hey Chris-
Just fantastic. You said from the beginning that you wanted to create something special and something tells me that even the photos don't do the whole thing justice. Can't wait. Two questions:
1. Do you recall the approx all up weight of that first Hog in the youtube videos with the 90's and then the 110's?
2. It isn't immediately obvious from the photos but I was curious about your thoughts/planning for battery access. I suspect that most e flyers will want to run 10 or 12s and obviously, removing the wing every flight to change the batts isn't fun or practical. If it was obvious and I missed it, sorry for the redundancy.
Thanks,
Dan

Hi Dan. Version 1 we were able to get down to 19lbs with the 90's. I believe with the 110's it came in around 24lbs. 10s. Battery access is through the cockpit. They are all up front for cg purposes.

Hi guys. Just thought I would let you know that I will start accepting pre orders again starting next week. I have contacted everyone that wanted me to add them to the list. If I missed you, I apologize. The list was a bit larger than I remembered. As of now I have 5 pre orders left to fill and I will be taking the summer off and then some to work in the shop to get some kits out. For now I will be doing the basic kit at the same price as the version1 for the next two months which is $1295.
I will be ordering the retracts with every 10 purchases if you are interested. This will allow me to save a bit on cost which in turn saves for you. Unfortunately I do not have a figure yet for those but I will keep you posted when I find the best conclusion. Please let me know if you will be interested in purchasing the gear so I can get some better figures. It can also be set up with cheaper aftermarket gear if your not a stickler on the scale appearance. You will just need to do a few mods to the nose formers.
Let me know if you guys have any questions.
Thanks
Chris

No problem guys. I'm getting stuff rolling on these gear already. Everyone has been wanting a set. I really couldn't imagine putting a set of Robarts or any other after market gear on this thing. I think it would make it look a little funny.

Hi Chris-
Is the port side ladder door going to be "live" on the kit or is that something we will need to cut out and hinge for ourselves? Was thinking that would be a natural place for switches, etc., not to mention the personal "art" that a lot of pilots had/have painted on theirs.
Thx,
Dan

Hi Chris,
Good to hear that you're doing a Ver2. I have one of your Ver1 that you built and painted for me (some assembly required...still in the box), we met in the parking lot and spoke briefly about your move, when I took delivery of it. Looking forward to finally assembling it and putting some of those detailed pieces on it, specifically the landing gear. I've been reading through this thread and will definitely want to purchase another one of your kits.
Thanks again,
Mark

Hi Dan. Sorry, I did not get a notice for these posts for some reason.
The door will need to be cut out if you are wanting to use it for that purpose.
Thanks
Chris

Hi Mark
I do believe I remember that. Was that the one I spent 5 days putting rivets on it?
Whenever you are ready for version2 just let me know. I look forward to seeing your version1 all finished up.
Thanks
Chris

Its two boxes. Normally use UPS but have used greyhound a number of times before without any problems. Usually half the price but some people worry about shipping with greyhound.

Hi Gary
I can do the $1295 price for you seeings you have ordered from me before.
Also I received new boxes yesterday and I can fit the whole kit in one 48"x16"x16" box. So I will be shipping in one box. I estimated shipping through UPS from east coast to west coast to be in the $130 range.

How close are you getting to shipping V2 kits with the hatch jambs, etc?
