Rubbish, Martin tried his hardest to to beat the Super bandit, the best sport jet in the world using an inferior airframe but failed just like you did when you tried with your flash :-)

DominicM Thank you some great videos, brings it all back. It was a windy x wind all day but still loads of flying and a great "social " day as well. Regularly blowing 17-20 mph with gusts to 32 mph all x wind. But we managed it.

Paul - awesome pics! I can even make out where I had that wingtip / concrete post argument and where Rob Howarth vinyl'd a cock and balls on my tail cone

I hope the damage was not too bad on the Firebird. Watched it fly the weekend before at Long Marston and it was a stunning plane. Got a chance to talk to the chap who owned it (didn't catch his name), but the install was immaculate

Thanks for the comments Simon. Unfortunately I had a no smoke flameout at low level and lost a lot of energy on the down leg turn so I didn't have a lot of options! Also the vid makes it look close but the plane touched down
about 250 yards away. The Firebird is a high performance jet and flies great but like most high performance jets doesn't fly for long without an engine at low level for very long.
Although I broke the Firebird I had a great day flying the Euro and meeting old friends.
Dick and the other Guys always put on a great event.

Don't want to get involved with your childish quarrels JR but I seem to recall a week earlier you well and truly got your a**e kicked by Animal.
And yes Col, get it fixed ASAP. We need more Gingers at meets as JR is giving you all a bad name.
Whilst you are repairing it, how about upgrading from a Merlin 170 to a 200? Now that would be good to see.

Simon,
Only a few parts to get like the glass canopy , nose leg pin which is about 8 mm thick that bent to 30 degrees but didn't break the mountings. Shows how strong JMP models are built.
I will repair myself ,the rear end is not too bad and broke near the join.I built the model myself so know my way around it.
Cheers
