Yep, very slow here too. Could be many factors, a ddos attack, a botnet, or possibly their sql server has database issues (could be why the homepage link is going to the forums).
Whatever it is though, they need to fix it quick. I am sure every day people are getting frustrated and being driven somewhere else. Over the months I have noticed the posting activity on here slow waaaay down.

OK. You want details? Here ya' go.
About 1/3 of the time I get this......
This page can’t be displayed
This "feedback" comes from RCU on initial Site selection on my favorites icon, many times clicking from between items on Buy and Sell, from page to page clicks, and even between different Forums. If I hold down on the mouse click for a couple of seconds...... kinda like "Hello. Helllooooooo. HELLOOOOOOO?" often I get past the Page not Found notice. To me, it feels like a server timing issue. Oddly, today, I've only encountered the above notice about 1 page click out of 10.
And, YES, I too am frustrated by "the Premier RC website". I have often just given up on RCU and gone to another "Scale Building" site that works flawlessly and quickly.
And I have a very common, high speed, broadband cable access provider, with my home machine running Windows 7 on a FAST PC.
Hope this helps fix the problem SOON.

My favorite part over the last two weeks have been with the long load times of the pics. Or, when they stall I get a web page that doesn't load and says the pics can't load because the Server has too many redirects...and this is for pics hosted here??? Are you joking?

I must be extremely fortunate in selecting times when there are no issues with loading pictures, etc. I don't have a problem with stuff loading and displaying in a second or two.

RCU is by far the slowest site I regularly visit. Lots of time-outs and it's definitely an RCU thing. I have tons of web stuff going on at the same time and while other pages are refreshing, accepting my comments and updating, RCU is often times just stuck. If I stop everything else so that RCU can have all the CPU cycles it doesn't matter because web speed is almost never CPU dependent. It's network and server dependent and in this case it's pretty clearly either RCU's servers or their connection to the net.

I never used to have these kinds of problems with it. For me it was maybe a once or twice a month thing the site would be unavailable for a while. But now it's like every time I come here there's a very good chance that it's going to time out. Once I'm actually in the site it works fine usually.

One thing that has been happening a lot is that when I'm clicking pictures in someone's posts - say they have six photos, the first two will load up after taking four minutes to do so, then the third one will come up but there won't be an image. Then the same thing with the fourth photo. Then the fith and sixth photos will be fine again. That just happens with random images in random posts. The box with the image navigation shows up but with no picture in it. Just a tiny little box where a picture should be.

i used to Iove using rcu and the ads page to sell my goods. however, I typically avoid rcu these days. their site is glitchy and slow among other issues. those guys really need to get their act together! they've known about the issues for a long time and have done NOTHING. I removed my credit card info and no longer sell or socialize on the site. rcu offers poor service, 2nd rate site performance and don't deserve my money for anything.

I haven't posted here in quite a while, but RCU is still my home page on this ancient, cobbled together machine I'm using. I have a less than stellar DSL service and yet this site works fine for me daily. Pages load in a blink of an eye, pictures and everything else is fine. BUT I'm still using Windows XP. Could it be a newer Windows compatibility problem?

Since my original post a few days ago... the site has actually picked up speed.(for me anyways) Not super fast like all the other sites, but tolerable.
However... today at this time,, it has gone back to the way it was.. Slow....
Windows 7 Extreme high speed.
