Kingtech presents the all new T1 sports jet

Hmm..I see your point but I think there idea is to keep this jet under a certain cost. Packaged deals are nice sometimes but not everyone uses the same electronics so I'm not sure how well that would go.
Right now it seems that they are selling out due to everyone wanting one so I don't see them slowing down. My opinion is this is the next sport jet that everyone will have in there hangar with all there other jets due to the lower cost and great quality. I sure love min.
Just my 2 cents.

Agreed....I ordered mine after I saw Barry's firsthand at Fresno. I'll be ordering the electronic valves anyway because servo and valve is getting old...lol This thing is probably going to quickly become my daily flier
Was just a thought is all....Maybe an option?...once they can get back under them again...
Can't wait to see this scheme in person.

Today was the day no matter how long it took!
I did have issues with the left main retract as Kris mentioned way back that the gear was hanging up. I could only get one cycle from the left as I was getting 4 before the failsafe took over. So I pulled the retract after checking to make sure it did not have a kinked line and filed the trunion keeper on the up end and added I tinny bit of greas. That fixed it and I was ready to take to the skyes.
A few more test like range testing and checking all mixes one last time.
The K120 is running so sweet, once the steering was adjusted and trimmed I fueled up and rolled out to fly. Wind was out of the south at a good 15 and gusting but no cross so why not
gradual throttle up then full, she was a little squarely at first as the steering was sensitive ( I will get use to it). She lifted off at about 2/3 of the runway and climbed out. Being I was noes heavy with CG a 225mm and a full tank up trim was needed and just a few clicks of left had her flying strait and leavel. This jet tracks very well, it was gusty and the others jets that flew earlyer where wagging in the wind.
Once I was trimmed I did a few laps checking the sensitivity of the settings, elevator was fine on high rates but ailerons were a bit touchy so I went to mid rates and that was good, next we tried half flaps and it started to dive so we need to adjust and trim that. By now I'm at my 5 min timer and needed to start my landing so a trip around to check gear and being there was a strong head wind no need for flaps.
I came around and lined up, flying in under power until I was over the runway, cut power and she came in on a nice flair, noes up main gear landing and she rolled nice and strait, breaks were not needed but I hit them to get use to them at the end.
We checked the top sped and it was 153 and I was only flying around at half stick the whole time. Fule consumption was about 1/3 so I'm going to bump up my time to 6min and fly with that to gage my fuel for now. It was getting late and the gusts were getting stronger so I chose not to fly again.
So fare this jet flies great and I cant wait to cut her loos. I'm going to tweak the main gear and she will be ready for next weekend.
I did get some video, but no inflight as we had technically difficulties in that department.

You know, this idea that almost any model can be done in the Jolly Roger scheme, seems offensive to the tradition of the squadron going back to Pappy Boyington and the Black Sheep Squadron.

Hi Zeeb,
Offensive?? It's offensive if someone degrades, makes it distasteful or a mockery of the scheme. I personally think that replicating paint schemes from our Honored Fighter Squadrons is a high form of respect to those Service Men that made it famous. It may not be on the planes they used, but it is keeping the memory alive and in front of people so they don't forget!! I made the Blue Angel scheme at the request of a retired Navy Captain, F-4 Fighter Pilot. I have to assume he didn't find it offensive.
Best Regards,

It is not offensive if some of us who served want to remember our days with a scheme from a squadron from which we love. As Dirk said, it would be degrading if someone made a mockery of the scheme instead of honoring it. I am not into scale models, but I love many of the military schemes that are out there..so what if its not a scale plane that is wearing the colors. If by flying the scheme I get one person to ask.."Who are the Jolly Rogers?" I have passed on a part of history.

The great thing is that we HAVE and HAD great people fighting for our country so we can be free to have the choice to paint out models in whatever scheme we would like to. Weather it be a sport color or representing out great fighter squadrons. Not everyone can have or handle the big scale jets. Its not hurting anyone or degrading and squadron using scale schemes. If anything its keeping there sacrifices and accomplishments alive. And they simply look cool.
