By the way, I am narrowing my servo selections to the new D type from Hitec. Not sure about Savox, MKS etc. always used JR and Hitec. Since JR closed doors, I defaulted to Hitec. Used to be a futaba guy but once i
began the ducted fan then turbine stuff, jumped to JR. Read on here about Savox and kind of was disappointed. Unless I hear additional feedback on Savox, then I am sticking to Hitec. Actually the Hitec servos are a bit more money.

I’m like you I was pretty much JR Servo (Jr TX as well), I had a full biplane with Savox (F3A type) and I was disappointed by the amount of play in those servo after 30 or so Flights......they were tight when I installed them....I know that some are better then other, just don’t want to try them all.
Tried the MKS and I really like them in all my new planes for the last 2-3 years....also like the Ditex.
I always saw servo’s as in investment...since they can always be reused in something else......my T-1 has 4X HBL960 (ail/elev) 3X 777 (flp/rud) 1x Mini 6625 on nose door and Ditex 1906 on Steering...really happy with them, will change my arms this winter to get more resolution from them.

You're sounding a little frustrated at the bulldung slung here by some. Don't be. Remember, you can't please everyone, but if you please most, you'll win. And, as far as I'm concerned, you are winning. As evidenced by the majority here who explain to the complainers that they really have nothing to complain about.
Which reminds me, I forgot (sorry) to publicly thank you for giving me the nose wheel off your demo plane at Kentucky Jets when I mentioned that my nose wheel tire was splitting along the seam. I was quite prepared to pay for a new tire but you insisted that I take the entire wheel, tire and hub, at no charge. Now, that is customer service at its best. Thank you again.
You will be getting my business again.

Well I wasn’t going to reply to Dirk’s post but I will. I’ve bought from just about every brand and dealer out there. I’ve had great service and not so great service. I ordered a plane and then in a separate order some accessories for the plane. I emailed him 3 times over maybe a 3 month period and the only response I got was from my email prior to purchase. After purchase I got nothing, I text him twice and got no response and I called twice and once left a message and got nothing. I understand he’s a busy guy, and I understand that good things take time but to say just simply call text or email me and I’ll take care of you... well that’s not been my experience. All my attempted communication was polite and inoffensive. But now you came on here and basically said quit *****ing, not basically, that’s what you said and now I have an issue. Obviously these are not cheap planes and equipment. I absolutely do not have a problem with the wait. My problem is with the ZERO communication. If you’re busy fine, reply I’m backed up on orders and it’s going to be another week. If you have a 3 week lead time to fill orders, fine, post that on your website even so we know what to expect, again no problem. If you have no updates from the factory, ok not a problem but say so, don’t just leave me out there hanging with what seems like zero after purchase support. But don’t come on here and say quit *****ing and all you had to do was call, text, or email, because you know what? I tried that! The people you’re telling to quit *****ing are your new customers!
After saying all that I will say I’m very happy with what I have received and I have received everything that I ordered. I have heard a lot of good things about Dirk and Barry and there are plenty of customers with stories to back that up. I’m already planning on another T-One purchase through Dirk.

Gents- I received my T1 several weeks ago. Built is going quite well, but I am having an issue with the brakes. Long story short, if you gently blow on the brake line, you can hear all of the air escape at the brake hub, and there is no braking resistance. I have taken the hub apart, seems ok to me. Tried packing the hub with BVM O lube to see if that helps, and no luck. The O ring in the hub does have the "U" channel in it, but the O ring seems under sized to me, but I am not sure. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have the same brakes and they really work well. I suspect that a small amount of air generated with a gentle blow into the line is not enough to make it work like it should. Have you tried it with 100lb-ish pressure with the wheel on? When i do that after spinning the wheel it stops and is hard to move.
PS- I found that with the door covers on the mains that the gear was pulling out in flight- I pulled the gear doors off and it works great.

T-1 brakes
I had the same problem when I tried to use an Ultra Precision proportional valve with the T-1 brakes. The T-1 brakes seem to need a minimum initial pressure (around 10-20 psi) to seal) and the UP valve requires an initial minimum back pressure to work and it only gradually increases the supplied pressure from zero. Not compatible !
I solved the problem by replacing the UP with a Xicoy Single Action valve used in pulse proportional mode. This supplies variable duration pulses to the brakes at the full tank pressure from the get-go. Problem solved.
