Paul,
When you hook up Pro to Rx1 and Rx2 to CB200 does the telemetry work?

Tom,

Yes - TM becomes available via RX2. You do lose the ability to see the CB200 in Device Explorer though. You have to bypass the gyro completely to set up the CB200 first.

Regards,

Paul

Captron showed us Jeti integration firmware at the FL Jets, they said in next 2 weeks we will have full integration using EX Bus and all telemetry will just pass thru.

Just note, you will need .bin file for the transmitter. Make sure you add it to the Devices folder.

Will the .bin file be available before the Demon FW update?

Once the .bin file is available you simply need to copy it to the Devices folder on your transmitter.

The bin may/could also come from demon until the next update from Jeti ....that was the case with one of my Ikon2 FBL unit....

Make sure you always make a backup of your SD card ... just in case.

You mean just drop my files in the PC folder from my Transmitter folder, right? I have all those now.

Yes, you can just copy all the files from the transmitter SD card via USB (and store them on your disk drive or another SD card)
Or you can just remove the SD card and copy it directly...
It's up to you.
Just remember to properly format all SD cards that you will be using as a backup.

I would tend to be don't removed the SD Card too much they are usually better left alone.....I just backup on my MAC and a USB stick no need for more then one card...they are easily available if require....

WOW this is all over my head LOL

I have 4 of the regular Cortex gyros in some of my jets/war birds.

So for the regular every day spectrum DX18 user the only advantage is the exstra gyro controlled channel, (so no more Y harness for gyro on rudder and nose wheel) is this correct?

You cant add Spectrum sats, and use this just as a reciver with all 14 channels mentioned right, like a power Box SRS?

Im trying to figure out what to put in my new Aviation Design Diamond. I have a Power Safe 12channel Spectrum receiver, and I was going to just get a regular cortex, but to be honest, the $400 of the power box SRS with the gyro built in for $400 is a really close in cost to 12 channel power safe receiver and cortex gyro.

Dose Cortex have any planes to add there gyro in a power box set up? Im not a fan of I gyros.

Thanks Mike

OK I just got mine in, I was really hoping for more of a manual.

So The only difference between this Pro and my regular 5 other Cortex gyros is the fact the Pro has one more gyro controlled output, (great for nose wheel) and dosnt jitter as much as the regular one? Am I missing any thing, I use Spectrum/DX18

The Pro has new a 32 bit processor and dual serial bus input/output. The manual should be available on the website.

Having trouble connecting my Cortex Pro to the computer software. Running ACP 1.02, downloaded from the correct link.

When starting the software, I get the flaming startup window which only tells me to connect a device. Plugging in the cortex pro (getting the typical sound for windows detecting new stuff). The cortex pro shows solid green for a couple seconds, the flashes red rapidly (during which windows plays the device detection sound), and after a few more seconds, the led flashes slow red, apparently indefinitely. The software does not seem to detect it what so ever.

Any tips?

(I have no servos, other power sources, or jumpers connected at all, just the gyro and the USB cable)

Can I run a pro into a PowerBox with Jeti? I have to use UDI 16 and then not use the EXT ports. I don't think it will work on SRS this way?

I'm thinking you have to separately power the gyro with an external battery.

Might be the case, then again, the gyro does seem to have power from the USB as I would expect.

Figured it out.

It does not need external power, but it does need the programming jumper connected.

Makes somewhat sense I guess.

Actually no jumper is needed. Only USB. Strange that it acted this way. Please try another PC.

I've not tried it but I see no reason it shouldn't work. UDI from Jeti RX into ports A/B of the Cortex Pro. Ports 5/6 from the Cortex Pro to the Power Box.
