FWIW I'm using ProModeler DS505BLHV all around. I've used their servos in 3 of my 4 turbine and they've all performed flawlessly. I like the fact that they're made here in the US and support from the company owner is excellent. That being said, people in my club fly all different types of servos (MKS, Savox, JR, Spectrum, Hitec, Bluebird, and whatever BVM puts in their Plug and Play jets) all come to mind) and I struggle to think of an instance where any have failed. The MKS you mention are excellent servos from what I've seen/heard and I don't think you can go wrong with them. You're correct about being able to use slower/stronger servos for flaps and maybe lower torque/speed for steering, personally, I usually use the same all around but I have no real reason to do so.

Did you ever confirm what you are using?

A buddy of mine just got one of these and I was over looking at it tonight. Can someone post a pic of how the pipe mount goes together? And also how and where the main fuel tank mounts? I know it’s described in the manual but I’d love to see a pic. He’s using the CMJets tanks

Just glued in the pipe mount yesterday but this should show how it goes together:

Stock tank but I think the CM Jets tank can be mounted similarly with some mods to the mounting pieces. Lots of Pics in this thread, the Rebel Max thread and the original Pirotti Rebel Pro thread.

Mount on the back of the tank slips under the wing tube and the top crescent shaped piece in front bolts to two blind nuts in the former in the fuselage.

There are a TON of pictures I took assembling the Rebel Max in that build thread as well. Glad you got your answer though. The Pro and the Max are almost identical.

The pipe mount was Hysol like the previous photo’s, one thing I changed is the little Chinese ply was replaced by A/C plywood, and I used a servo screw

The tank was from a Pirotti RP so I I just slid the tank in and made a back mount to used the previous mount glued to the tank.

The jet has 2 seasons now and ready to fly again….with no change

‘I Also re-painted the fuel tank half mount to match the red…..and installed a CMJet smoke tank….

Smoke is the only thing that this jet has be trouble…..somehow the smoke blow back into the fuselage….many things have been tried…and it’s still doing it a little..

Do you have your smoke tube at the front or the back of the thrust tube? We are planning to run it out the back of the thrust tube.

‘We try behind the motor……at the end of the tube and mid tube…..we also try a catch tank for the smoke Vent….and many setting on the pump (PowerBox Jet)

At first it was right behind the motor….I have done that on many jets and never had oil blow back….it might be the way the air is moving inside that jet, it’s not mine I’m just the builder….the smoke wasn’t dense at the end of the tube, so compromised to mid tube, still have the oil catch tank…this is with the rear CMJets Smoke tank.

wow, ok thanks for the info, so how far back into the plane is the oil going? Past the engine area or just the thrust tube area?

Default Maiden Complete

Successful maiden of my Pro this past Saturday. I don't think I've had a more stress free flight. C/G set about 10 mm aft of the wing tube and seemed pretty good, all control surface throws per the "manual" and the plan only needed about 3 clicks of down elevator with the first notch of flaps. Landing was effortless. After 7 minutes I still had 1/2 tank of fuel left. Here's a video of the maiden, sorry the takeoff roll was missed, but not much to see there anyway. I got 3 more flights that day and tested my smoke system, more videos to follow.

So excellent flight lands like a baby , so which oil are you using that turns your fuel red ?

The batteries are 5200mah, curious about the weight distribution?
I fly Jeti radio system and noticed your receiver behind the nose gear had the antennas pointed in the same direction shouldn't they be placed at 90 degrees between the two.
The 210 seems it was only at half or 2/3 throttle lots of power now to start assembling mine.

I'm using Kingtech Oil, the kerosene I buy from a local hardware store is dyed red, I believe it's for tax purposes as there's no road use taxes charged on it.

They're 2600 mAh batteries times 2, C/G was 10 mm behind the aft edge of the wing tube in their current location, I also have 168 grams of wheel weights in the nose, which I'll likely remove over the course of the next few flights. If I still want to move the
C/G back from there I'll relocate the Rx batteries to the nose gear mounting plate, if I want it back further still I'll replace the 2S 3300 LiPo (gear, smoke, and eventually lights) with something smaller.

I thought about the antenna placement on the 2nd receiver but the other receiver is orthogonal to that one and I wanted to keep some separation between the battery leads higher on the fuselage. Looking at the 4 antennas' signal strength in my logs over the 4 flights so far, the values seem to be fine. This is also consistent placement with my other models and I've never had a problem with any of them.

The K210 is perfect for this plane, at least at my altitude here in Georgia. The fastest I got was 177 mph (via GPS) on one flight but I haven't really flown it full throttle for more than a couple of seconds. There's plenty of thrust for unlimited vertical.

Good luck with your build.

So farm Kerosene, usually, all farm fuel is dye diesel and gasoline, great means you get it a good price.

If you watch Harry Curzonon Youtube or Espirt USA Jeti, they explain better why the antenna separation is curcuial for total coverage in quathers around the aircraft.

Your a couple hundred feet above sealevel, I fly at high attitude of 1066m so im using a 240 for the similar thrust.
