I personally like the mini hobbies brake valve. But more and more and getting excited about the BVM one, know it's not digital, but I've found it to be very good in the way it conserves air.

http://www.minihobby.com/

I have the mini hobby and the jet tronic. Had a little better luck with the jet tronic. The mini hobby dropped the programming a couple of times but has been holding recently....

The electronics air valves consume quiet some air when activated.....I use jetronic single action in the normal on/off setting but with a Robart air restrictor right after the valve.....it works great........try it [sm=thumbup.gif]
Good luck

I stopped using proportional brake valves for a while. I simply use silicon grease on the hubs of
the bvm wheels and a on/off mini air switch. seems to work as good or better than the proportional ones, because it stops the plane smoothly and the tires are lasting longer than ever...

Me too.
I been using button air swicth for brake valve. Put some lube on the brake and it work perfect every single time.
250 flight on the F-18 and 75 flight on my new F-16.
What make it more perfect. I only use one retract channel mix over center to activate the brake button.

I use the jet tronic valve in on/Off none proportional mode with a few drops of "10 weight 100% silicone RC car shock oil" on the O-Ring from hobby people.
It works great and very little air usage.
The draw back is the need of lubrication every 20 to 30 flights.

You can also use the Spring air on/off air valve combine with grease/silicone and your set .

Tam: I use mixing for down elevator too that is only enabled when the switch gear is in the "down" position.. works great for me. It is good to know that more people around use the same solutions with success.

Carlos: I am using the springair valve. it is great and very easy to install, and the robart standard valve can be used too, just taping one air exit... a good thing about using this valves is that seems
that there is always one in the junk box!

Best regards, Enrique

Jet tronic is the best.

The reason is you can mix with a Y extension with elevator and you can set the valve with the memory button to chose when the barke is on or off. And you save a slot in the receiver.
