OK well I don't have my gears yet! so perhaps will have to do that
it IS possible using controls to CLOSE the inner doors when the mains are down!
I just wanted to save that complication

no idea...
i spoke also to Thomas Singer , he does not understand eather, since it is a very forgiving airframe..
i think i blame it on :

being to Slow... and flicked out i must say there was crosswind when this happened.
what could also have happened , if the gear is out , the huge doors can cause also like 2 spoilers.
together with that crosswind it might caused it also to push it out of direction..

as much as i hate to say i think it was anyway a pilot error..
Hawk was never my cup of tea , but then i like the model very much..
it was not a radio problem , the turbine was never on failsafe or anything.

I would just make a few points regarding Hawks.
I love them and have (as you know) designed and built many Hawks over the years.
The Hawk wing is not great (the full size was not either) and is susceptible to tip stalling.
The full size had wing fences and turbulators added to improve the tip performance.
It also had ‘toblerones’ fitted to the wing inboard to (I believe) produce a root stall ahead of a tip stall).
With the smaller wing these features (even when applied) do not have a major effect.
I have found that the wing needs to go out of scale and around 3 to 4 deg of washout incorporated.
Elevator movement can also be critical.
On The Fox Composite Hawk, Jim is VERY specific about elevator movement. He comments that excess movement will cause a ‘snap’. The new wing on his Hawk model has been changed and exhibits none of those characteristics.

I have not seen the wing on the Comp Hawk, so I cannot comment on it directly.
But these are just things I have learned over the years.

It is also possibe to put both ailerons "up" a little to simulate washout
I hope C-ARF has the wing right. I have a video of one flying at Florida Jets 09... it appears in that video to be flawless

This Hawk is perfect, the design has been proven with now two prototype Comp ARF aeroplanes flying without issue. My own one is behind as I have been laid up with a throat infection. This aeroplane's designer also knows about Hawk's he won the last JWM with one he designed...that this is scaled down from.
There is a Composite ARF meeting in Germany 1-3 May and we expect three Hawks to be flying there.

Excellent, some robustness there, my FLASH has some pin breakage with the supplied 5 mm ones, I changed them to 6mm

Dave, from the above pics, it appears that the thrust tube is held in by the carbon fiber bell at the front, and the fuse opening at the back, correct?

Yes, small L brackets off the bell mount, hole at the fuselage rear holding outer tube

I found an additional NAVY hi-viz scheme for the T-45 version so I added it to mine + an MDC in the canopy
I am finished with the decorations, flying soon I hope!

I got my all servos install. This Hawk is so easy to built. A lot room. I can almost go inside.
Now need to work on the ducting system for twin fan.
I'll also made the ducting turbine conversion kit for this plane.

No in the next week, probably test fly at Scampton next weekend-been a bit slow with staff having holidays and me having to work longer hours than my usual 12!, plus shows, family etc etc.
