I don't think they were worried about being camouflaged obviously....these were stripped down light weight camera Spits that were even faster...relying on speed to get them through like the Mossie

Great photos. Thanks for putting this thread back on track.

Just as a reminder, here's the first post stating the purpose of this thread. I added the emphasis:

[h=2]Best scale photo![/h]
Lets post our best "SCALE" photo of our favorite plane.
Post as many photos that you like, but they MUST be SCALE! (They MUST look like a shot of the real plane).

I don't know, that last one of the Nieuport 28 looks like I totally scale pencil drawing! Seriously, outstanding photography of outstanding models.

Just fantastic shots Vulturetec, beautiful. The Beaufighter shot looks like it could be an air-to-air and the Mentor shot is simply outstanding.

Vulturetec, You are the Bees Knees mate! Brilliant stuff.
I don't think I ever seen so sharp pictures of such beautifully detailed models, in this thread or the other.
Regarding dynamics/optical illusions: the F4U Corair landing/flaps down is absolutely wicked. It appears HUGE!
The best, most convincing landing shot I've ever seen of a model.

I've followed this thread since it started and check in now and then. One of my favorite RC Universe moments was the reply in post #275 from mjd3. It should be in the hall of fame, I still laugh when I read it. For those of you that may not have read every post, he's mocking Mustang51's constant criticism about "non scale" photos and mustang didn't get it thinking he was sincere.

What so funny is Mustang51's own photo starting the thread is as bad as most "non scale" photos he criticized. Come on, a GI Joe dolly too small for the plane dressed up in winter garb in the middle of summer struggling to dislocate his knee to reach the step? Had me fooled. I thought I was in Russia during WW2.

So in the spirit of Mustang51 and the legendary mjd3, Please only scale photos.

Geezz, I don't know what's with you bozos. Mustang's told you a hundred, no, a THOUSAND times - SCALE SCALE SCALE. Cant you even read simple DIRECTIONS??? It's amazing that any of you shallow gene pool, stubborn mule, insubordinate yahoos can even get an airplane off the ground!

NO ANTENNAS, NO GIANT FEET, NO CRAPPY LOOKING AIRPLANES, NO GARAGES, NO BASEMENTS, NO SIDEWALKS, PETS, SPIDERS, INSECTS, 6FT GRASS, AND NOTHING WE (mustang and I) DON'T LIKE. Basically, if a team of photographic technicians, aerodynamic engineers, and combat veteran-airline captain-stunt pilot-hero types (or Mustang) can prove in less than one week that the subject aircraft is not scale, you have BLOWN IT! Get it???

You should all sell your RC gear, unplug your computers and seek some counseling before you hurt someone. Above all else, don't spread those sub-par genes around like some bumbling idiot at an airport with a mutant SARS-Monkey-pocs disease.

ARGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH! I gotta go take my lithium.

- Sorry Mustang; I just felt we were over due for another meltdown and I figured you were getting tired of it. Great thread and to all you picture posters. WOW! Nice work.
Wohhhh Dude... Do you feel better after that vent?
