Steve looks like you are coming along in the right way, when I did mine I should have left one side skin's off on all of the flaps until I got the hinges pins and the motion and angles right. I would also go with the ply as the wire set up was a real pain in the A#$ for me

Thanks guys. Ill post more detailed pics once the flaps are ready to be closed up. Also, is the ply horn for the flap linkage sufficient enough for the job? I dont usually usy the kit supplied ply horns, but im out of G10. Should i just wait and get more?

yes they are, when I had to disassemble to make my repairs I had to pry them out, after the first push thru I pulled them and C/A them and the edge of the ply with super thin ca, let them sit till they get hard on there own. I then had to push them again.

having issues getting the flaps to work, they work but opposite of each other, its a simple fix just need to reverse 1 servo and adjust control horn, but its a pita I don't know if I like the idea of using 2 receivers. but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, can't wait to see it fly so I can put it up 4 Sale. A buddy ask me if I would ever tackle a plane this big again,
I looked at him and laughed

At my age the bigger the better so I can see them I am still trying to get the new Paint done with luck it might get done before our flying season ends, and I would sell both my big birds in a hart beat for a reasonable price but hear in fly over land the best you can get is about a dime on the dollar, and I may get my son to come out and fly them.

Glad you got it resolved, Please don't take this comment the wrong way as I know it sounds negative. But I have to add the reverser is another item to fail I have never had one but my flying buddy has and locky it failed on the ground but that was after a coupla of HARD landings and a nose over.

All I can say at this time is I can't wait to get this plane in the air,
I am having the same problem with my ailerons,2 receivers, futaba I plug in the ailerons in their respective slot individually and they both move in the same direction a friend said to do it in the # 1 & 5 slot and that doesn't work, but if I plug in a servo reverser it works,
I shouldn't have to do this,
this is getting very frustrating
Does any one have any ideas?

hi George, I haven't been a Futaba user for many years, so I'm not sure if I could help. But on spectrum radios the default wing setup is for a single aileron servo you have to go in the wing setup and change it to dual aileron servosand then the number 5 slot becomes active. maybe it's something like that?at that point you could reverse either one.

Hi George
What Radio do you have ? as I am still doing Futaba an old 8U converted to 2.4 witch is a bugger to program, and a newer 7C on 2,4 and as I understand it all of the newer 2.4 fast systems are similar to a point, I am still of the belief of KISS so I only use I receiver. The old 8U is what I use in my war birds and use all 8 chnl's so I end up having a manual choke. So I am not sure I can help, as I have never looked into a dual reviver set up.

Well all I can say is when you start the PM, and after you write you msg. Find the square ( green ) box scroll up or down till you find it ( next to the world with the red X ) click o it, that will get you a popup, that along the top insert file, at the bottom of the popup you will find a box that say's ( select file ) click on it, that will give you another popup on the left side of your monitor, this will give you a vertical list of your home page and folders and icon's, scroll up or down till you find the folder with the pic in it , open it then click on the pic, the ret is as would post any pic
Good luck Cheers Bob T

Nope I used the recommended on hi rate, with 25 % expo and 1/2 the movements on low rare; no expo..
Ended up taking some of the expo out of the ailerons, and all out of the rudder, this works for my hands and eye's
