Hello All, need advice please. First of many more questions to come. What size pinked tape should I use on this 1/5.79 scale warbird leading/trailing edges of elevators, rudder, and ailerons - 1/2" or 3/4" or 1"? I'm thinking 3/4" unless directed otherwise. Thanks Guys. Chic

I think I used 3/4 to wrap around the edges and 1/2 along the ribs.
Use 1/5 scale, too small and the pinking gets clogged up and disappears in the primer and paint.

I see you there RANGER1-00. Stay well Brother. I am currently doing the Stits thing to the elevators, and ailerons. Will resize the control horn when I get a smaller size carbon fiber tube. Chic

Hey Larry - so very glad to hear from you. Yes, I made the elevator horn from G10 and a Carbon Fiber tube. The smaller size horn allows for a better scale look. Will post photos once I set up the fin/rudder prior to final installation. Still waiting for Stits products to come. My best to you and the family. Hey, it was 80 degs here today. Trying to catch up to you. Ha, Ha, Ha. Stay well and Stay safe. Chic

So am I guys, now I know what it is that I have been feeling - withdrawals. With the weather getting better and the arrival of my needed Stits products - there appeared a celestial happening over my house and a new solar system must have been formed over my house and "Life". The Boss, had me seeding and feeding the lawn, cutting tree limbs, laying bricks, painting areas of the exteriors of the house and shop, scrubbing hardwood floors, etc., etc., etc.. I think you guys get the point. The only thing I was excused from was cutting the grass. I only do that at the club flying field. Let it be known, enough is enough. I am back to work this week on my long lost Avenger. Great hearing from ya Noah and Colonel. Colonel, keep me posted on your job hunt. Thanks all of you. Chic

Back In The Saddle - 1st coat of Poly Brush. Tried as usual to post a photo but not being a computer geek, I had no ideal what this new system is asking of me. It use to give me a choice, now it only asks for a URL. What is a URL with regards to the photo (100-1290) in my little SanDisk? Thanks. Chic

Hey guys! I just got back from topgun and picked up my Kellogg avenger while I was there. I will be stripping it and redetailing it. The guy the built it made the scale wing fold mechanism so this should be pretty cool when it's finished.

Big Stew
Very neat is it manual or mechanized ala Charlie's Skyraider?
Can't wait to see the progress.
Chic, you may want to consider this for yours or not.
Spent another 1/2 hour yesterday trying to link photos to the site with NO luck (read as HELP!!!!!!!!)
On the other hand finally got all the taper residue off the bomb bay doors, now have to reattach the air cylinders to the bomb bay linkage and then can start on redoing all the servo throws...
