RE: Redcat vehicle repair/tune FAQ
Ouch no hotlinking big images. If you'd like email me the picture you want to host and I could put it up for you. Either that or try imageshack.us
They limit their file sizes to 1.5megs.

Hey Cu in one of your pics you show the grubs screws lining up in the rebuild of the trans. Is this important? Because I Know I did not do this. My car seems to be running fine with out it that way. Just wondering. Thanks

RE: Redcat vehicle repair/tune FAQ
I think it just makes it look pretty?
Idealy you'd want them to be at 1/3 intervals from eachother so that when everything is rotating is doesn't wobble from the weight difference... but honestly I don't really think that it matters.

RE: Redcat vehicle repair/tune FAQ
Nitro Steve has a really gppd pic of the gear mesh on the first page. They should mesh full depth. When you move the car backwards the gears and clutchbell should spin free for a few turns after the car stops moving. It's easier to check the mesh with the top plate and tank removed. A sheet of paper should fit in the gears. Everyone should watch the video on this link. This is how HPI recomends setting the mesh on the Sav X. It works for the Redcats too...[link]http://www.hpiracing.com/kits/updates.php?partNo=858[/link]

in the new trannny the taller gear is backwards from the way you say to install it.
the molded hub is faced in. and it has diff gears
