Any clues where i would be able to find the mario rossi tuned .12 ninja with the magnesium head? The guys on the smartech page turned me on to it but I can't seem to find it for sale anywhere. Maybe it's not out yet?

honestly, I wouldn't get the ceramic. Yes I have boca bearings in stock, but we dont use the ceramic. The black sealed are great.

Yes spectrum is the way to go. Futaba also has the fast system which is the 2.4 ghz also. I still prefer the spectrum.

Who is Dennis?

What's a really good 2ch radio system? The best one i found was- SPEKTRUM DX2 DSM 2CH Pistol,1-Z270,1-Z590M SX . Actually I don't know if it's the best, just most expensive at $170.

dennis is clermont hobby on the forum here and his site is clermontmotorsports.com

If your in a remote area just a good little FM 2 channel is fine but if your going to upgrade and add more RC cars and trucks to the same radio system then get one of the 2.4 gightz models and you won't have to look back.........if you like any of the Airtronics models PM me I'll hook you up[:-]

Why not ceramics? I heard they were the best you could get. I don't actually know but that's what I heard. The only bearings I end up replacing all the time are the ones in the clutch bells and tranny. What is the most common bearing size? I noticed the ones on the outer part of the wheel hubs are the same as the tranny and clutch bell.

I'll probably just get the spectrum radio set. Supposed to be good and looks pretty cool. At least I wouldn't confuse all my controllers.

so I ran some cars yesterday and clocked them. It was on a slight incline so there probably not top speeds and it was done with a $80 Bushnell radar gun so I'm not sure how accurate it was but here's what i got.
Stock smartech-28-30mph
Upgraded smartech-46-50mph
Hurricane-38-42mph
revo-39-43mph
jato-45-49-----wasn't shifting to second and tranny went out before we were done
IRC vulcan-20-25mph
bb pro with 18/23t bell and 18cv-rx-42-46mph
bb pro with 18/23t bell lightning tranny and o.s.cv-rx-52-57mph
Like I said it was done with a cheap Bushnell gun and we were going up a slight incline so I'm not sure how accurate they are but it's what i got.

What's a good radar gun?

I looked around ebay and found these.

IRC Photon 1/16- $280
Tamiya tamtech 1/16 (lots of styles) $160-$180
enRoute Lynx 1/16-200
They are all electrics but look like decent cars for goofing off inside.

Maybe an xmod? I see they are going for pretty cheap and they sell lots of upgrades but I know nothing about them. I went from $50 walmart specials to dumping $1000 into nitro cars So I don't really know much in the range your talking.

Not a lot of micro t on sale on ebay. I want to get some that can have extra batteries. I may just give up and just buy something cheap from walmart or radioshack

I found quite a few on ebay. How did you search? I just typed in "losi mini" and searched under "radio controlled vehicles".

New question????????? Do they make different sized clutch bells that will work on the 1/8 hurricane? The teeth are different then the ones on the bb. (bigger)

I thought the oil content was higher. Might just be like using a break-in blend fuel.

true avgas is meant for real planes, i wouldnt try it, its meant for planes at high altitude flying. stick to nitro fuel, dont take the chance.
