RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
Have you tried to turn in your low end needle about an 1/8 of a turn each time until it starts to die on you then you back it out about a 1/4 turn.

I replaced the Spur Gear, 6032, that got chewed up while breaking in the engine on a starter block! Anyway, ran the car slow a few times to break in the engine, adjusted the settings on the carb. to keep up with the brake-in, and then let loose. Car ran great for two tanks and then lost the top end speed! don't know if it's the engine or possibly the top end gear issue. The gears are still there! Is there something in the differential or clutch that could be causing this? []

you may be running too hot, richen the mix a little. you may be stuck in 2nd gear also, put a single speed setup in it, i did it in mine and i am very happy with it.

one thing about the hobby is that everyone has an opinion, they may be great to you but suck for someone else. for $10 i dont think you can go wrong, alot of towers stuff looks like rebadged futaba stuff so maybe its a good servo.

Are the ultrawides supposed to come with the programmable fm (I think) radios now? I purchased one on the 26th and arrived with an upgraded radio compared to what my son's shockwave arrived with. Nice surprise to be sure, I just hadn't seen it mentioned anywhere.

Am signals have different frequencies. If you have the 24mhz it will have several different ranges in that frequency like 24.045, 24.095, 24,195, etc... You need to see exactly what frequency you have then just purchase a different frequency then him.

RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
I'm at a roadblock with my Tsunami. No matter what I do, I cannot get the motor to start. I've run 7 tanks through it, and it always started, but lately it won't crank. It has compression, I've heated it, primed it, new glow plug. It simply won't run. I have a Muggy that runs fine, I've run and tune a stock nitro stampede as well as installed an OS .15 in that truck with no issues.
So, I'm fully willing to put an OS CVRX .18 in it. Now, my issue is that there are multiple engines listed as an .18 CV-RX on the OS site. Which one has the correct crankshaft length? They list:
OSMG2102 18CV-RX ABC
OSMG2104 18CV-RX ABC
OSMG2105 18CV-RX (S)ABC
I didn't see anything to indicate which one would fit the Tsunami better.
Also upgrading with a steel bell and teflon clutch while I'm at it.

here is the one you need: http://www.clermontmotorsports.com/s...lue-11j/Detail or http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXGGP7&P=ML
why not use the engine replacement program and get the sh .18, it will be less than $50: http://www.redcatracing.com/itemdeta...tno=sh18engine
when you prime the carb with a few drops does it try to start at all? are you sure the glow plug is lighting up? did you try the base settings of 2 1/2 out on the high needle and flush with the collar on the low needle?

RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
I upgraded to the HPI clutch bell and gears. Earlier today 2nd gear was locked via tranny clutch, no 1st. I fixed that with a little brute force but, have noticed that the spur gear (2nd gear) is just about stripped out. Anyone know why? Is there a replacement for the spur gears by HPI, etc...

RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
Thanks for the heads up on the OS.
Yes, I've been priming it with a little fuel out of a syringe. It won't even attempt to start. I've fiddled with needle and throttle opening settings but no dice. Hard to figure out what the issue is this time, as it won't even crank for a few seconds. Glow plug is functioning fine, all bolts are tight on the engine.

Can a 14mm hex wheel be used on a 12mm hex vehicle? Is there a conversion kit etc.? If so please explain how it works and what I would need? This is a Tsunami Ultrawide vehicle.
