I´m sure youre making the right choice! I have hundreds of "scale ideas" for my Mustang, but i know it will be too heavy when its time for the maiden... So, lets save the goodies for our bigger...

I´f youre going to use olelegs youre gonna have to find a pair of really short ones! Pneumatic retracts will probably be too heay.. in my opinion. Thats why i´m using mech retracts.

You can change the carb to a bigger one & grind/polish the transfer ports inside the cylinder for a better /fuel/air flow. ( search the web for how its done)
When the engine is in pieces polish...

Why not run it on water?
I used to run big R/c gas boats & got tired of boats flipping over, getting filled with water etc etc.. so I quit the boating & got into r/c planes instead. There´s no way...

Hi!
This is my first attempt building an airboat. I made the molds myself from the original airboat in ABS plastic and fiberglassed it.
Motor: ASP.46
Just waiting for the snow now! :)

I´ve just bought a Saito .72 and im now looking for a scale warbird model where my new engine would fit perfectly.. preferably a painted fiberglass body..

It should not be a WW1 model...

Hull design

I work with waterjetcutting and I made this hull at work. Its polyurethane foam, and im gonna sand it to shape & fiberglass it to a sandwich hull. What do you guys think?

Just a thought..

Why not mount the engine on the deck to lower the CG & use a belt to rotate the prop? You could use a standard marine flywheel on the engine and another flywheel on a propaxle.
Anyone tried that?
