RE: Flying by reference to video only?

Hi, I'm not sure if this helps, but when I have driven RC cars with FPV only, I found it very useful to put the camera where you can see the front of the vehicle in the picture. I found it much...

RE: SUCCESS! - A Brushless DF Conversion

Hi, I've been reading through this, congratulations on your mod :) It might be worth measuring the current and battery voltage under load, as you are getting pretty close to the 10C discharge rate.

RE: Frequency issues

I can't fly mine at clubs because they have to be squeeky clean for insurance purposes, but I fly it in my garden with no interference issues. The conversion to local frequency of 36mhz should be...

RE: Another camera mount

Hi, i've looked at a few digital cameras, a lot of them are very small and getting smaller, I was thinking of doing some surgery on one to lose some excess weight, but it might be just as well to...

RE: DF V MICRODRONE

I'd expect the buggers to come here and give me a demo for that money!

RE: Learning to fly without TI: Use dual-rate?

Hi, I dont have the D/R switch, but i understand what it's for. I have no problem controlling my DF at about 15-20 feet high without TI.
I still haven't tried the TI, I'm guessing it is most use...

RE: Building a DraganFlyer - need to mix speedcontrollers - HELP

Hi, my guess would be that you need to use a gyro to stabilise the craft by controlling the two ESCs outputs.
Wont you be needing them to be seperately controlled to give "roll" axis control?

RE: Building a DraganFlyer - need to mix speedcontrollers - HELP

Hi, I've worked with ultrasonic /doppler sensors a fair bit and they don't like moving air, it changes most of the factors they rely on to operate.ie, density, volume, path length etc. with 2 or 4...

RE: Q about draganflyer V Ti Pro built in receiver

Hi, no the reciever is not compatible, it needs modification to make it work at 35 (36?) Mhz. In Australia it's not compatible with the local frequency (36), but I have not modified mine yet, it...

RE: Should my Draganflyer be assembled?

yes, they come like that, if you follow the dvd or manual , you wil see how it goes together. It helps to to see how it goes together, because you are going to need to do maintainance (ie, tightening...

RE: XUFO and Draganflyer Related

Hi, perhaps you couold try wearing a carbon fibre patch to help with the withdrawal symptoms.
This latest developement puts the "X-ufo" ahead of the draganflyer, but I think it needs a new name,...

RE: Which are your better tricks to avoid video vibrations with standard V Ti camera mount?

I tried something similar with rubber bands, it helps, but doesn't completely get rid of the problem, as you are still "directly" connected to the frame in 1 axis (z).

RE: Building a DraganFlyer - need to mix speedcontrollers - HELP

Hi, I'm full of coffee and half awake, but wouldn't the same gyro signals used for flight stabilisation be just what is needed to stabilise a servo controlled camera?

my project is on hold...

RE: Pump Up The Power!!

Hi, doesn't really count as a tune up, but I just did the wiffle ball mod and it protects the motors very well. So far as tuning for more power goes, the flying season is about over here so I will be...

RE: Building a DraganFlyer - need to mix speedcontrollers - HELP

Hi, I'm not the smartest guy here, but didn't you just go the long way round to get angular acceleration, which is what a single gyro would have given you?
