RE: Hot rodding a Zenoah GT80??

I had no idea it was for a war-bird. When H9 came out with my 33% Cap, they were pushing the GT-80. I put a BME 102 in the airplane that was 3lbs lighter and 20% more powerful. The BME has a bare...

RE: The demise of the local hobby shop, another one bites the dust

Using that number, you are about 8 times more likely to be infected with HIV than have an AMA license. There are approx 1.2 million US citizens infected with HIV!</p>

I am not sure what sparked the thought, but the other day an unusual question popped into my head. What if an AMA pilot loses control of his airplane, and say hits an expensive, parked,...

RE: Which New 2.4 Transmitter Would You Choose?

I am already the happy owner of a X9503, I was real surprised to see it got so few votes, even though I selected the 11X. I expected the winner to be the DX8 but not even close.

Too bad you...

RE: The demise of the local hobby shop, another one bites the dust

I get serveral emails a week from tower with "two day specials" that often have products marked down between 25-35%, in addition to free shipping on orders over $100.

RE: Hard To Build Kits (Heli, Cars, Planes)

Yes,

for planes you need to join a club and have a place to fly them. Helis, you still need to be around where ever local heli pilots fly to give you guidence. You also MUST have a simulator, they...

RE: The demise of the local hobby shop, another one bites the dust

Why would my customers buy those products from me anyway, when they can get them way cheaper via Tower discounts?

The full line of Du-bro hardware and Hitec is distrobuted by Horizon also.

RE: The demise of the local hobby shop, another one bites the dust

The only hobby shops I have seen that have made it meet two criteria. Great location in a populated area, and a large dedication to "general hobby and crafts" on the other side of the shop.

But...

The demise of the local hobby shop, another one bites the dust

Guys,

I just spent 30 minutes giving my peace of mind about the situation here, and the IE spell check didn't work and erased all my data.

Here's the short version:

I just found out, one of...

RE: I cann't reach the max Capacity....

Peak detection chargers on AA size cells don't usually peak correctly. You may want to use a timed slow charge with a non-peak charger then measure the drain on your digital cycler

RE: lipo batteries need a break in?

Try buying a pack that is rated at a higher "C" rating. Also, draining lipo's too far are said to cause damage. I am no expert, but you might want to check and see what voltage your ESC is set to cut...

RE: Is HItech X4 Charger Good For Conditioning NiMH Cells?

RE: Sanyo AA 2700mah's NiMH No Good For Receiver Pack?

Interesting feedback, I used the 2700mah cells identical to you, in 5 cell configuration for about 40 flights and everything was fine. My setup used 8 standard premium standard servos, twice that of...

RE: OS 155 Alpha

It turns about the same RPM as a Saito 150 and the Saito is a lot cheaper. The Saito 180 is only 1 ounces heavier and beats it by 800rpm with a 16x8 apc

RE: LIPO !!!! CHANCES OF EXPLODING ??? :0

Look, it DOES happen. I think it is less likely with modern lipo's but I have seen no stastics to support such claim. They do appear to still sometimes catch fire in-flight or in-use as I have seen...
