RE: sea master question

Supertigre .51 was plenty. Seal all the seams with a good hot iron, RTV all the openings including the wing saddle, wax the bottom and off you go. :D Dry as a bone till the end...but that's another...

RE: Home-made starter???

A trip in the WayBack machine will take you to the local junkyard for a 12V starter and a windshield washer pump for fuel. [8D]

EL TIGRE!! GP Tiger Moth if an ARF is what you prefer. A Saito 100 is perfect. The Sig Hog if you're a kit man.

RE: Will you PLEASE DO A SEARCH?????????

Because people just like to hear themselves talk. How else do you explain questions like "How much does a gallon of water weigh." Or the 46 responses it generated (last time I checked).

RE: Setting control throws

Glenn, I measured from the inboard (widest) part of the surface. The recommended throws are fine to start. You can modify them later to suit your tastes. A sweet flyer and a great looking airplane.

RE: Aileron Trim

With the ailerons at neutral, try trimming for level flight using rudder trim only. Then try some turns and see if the response is more normal. If it is, take a closer look at the vertical...

Vagent, I glue a length of aileron stock as a wedge to remove dihedral. Of course you'll also need to modify or replace the wing joiner to allow the wing to lay flat. Inverted flight will be a bit...

Try fitting a piece of aileron stock to fill the gap. If it's a bolt-on wing, the dowel holes will need modification as well.
