RE: Turbo 4 stroke, why not?

you realise that making a turbo small enough which will probably have to handle more than 100,000rpms (maybe alot more) is going to be very hard to make. nice idea, but theres a reason it hasnt been...

RE: Brushed OSE 700SC Super Charged

These motors only last a very short time at thise power outputs because they are propped so high. As RPM says, with a lighter load they run great and will last (almost) forever.

RE: Aluminum props?

you can get them just as sharp, but they wear down much quicker so you have to resharpen them sometimes.

RE: OS .18TZ in Firestorm

You could get the rotary carb threaded shaft version and an Associated clutch nut and that would fit where the pilot shaft was. It might be possible to get a slide carb to work, I'm not familiar with...

RE: re:jetdrives

600 is Graupner's name for a 550, and it has caught on with everyone else as well. Their 500 motors are actually 540s.

RE: SV27 Battery Thread

I thought that matched packs had an equal voltage under (a regulated) load, as the cells differ from the factory, especially the high end ones where thay are trying to cram as much capacity and...

RE: Are Go Engines good?

The .15 and .18 are slow. The .21 and .28 are much better however. I have an .18, and it is reliable, but slow and was a b**ch to break in.

RE: Are Go Engines good?

The team infinity motors are slow and have a really tight pinch so break (the cheap) pull starters when new. Heard good things about go engines in cars, but never knew that they made marine engines.

RE: 6S brushless esc?

Why without an extenal bec? They weigh like 10g and are tiny. If you do that then there is lots of choice.

RE: Should traxxas high current conns come stock on xl-5? (Pede,Rusty)

the only time that it voids the warranty is if you screw up putting the new connector on.

RE: mirco outboard boat

the graupner gtx500 outboard comes with an adapter for a 480/400 motor, but that is probably still to big.
