RE: sts .30

I will probably order the picco pretty soon. I'm really not to concerned about the tuning I'm decent at it. I will try finding a roto start back plate for it, cause i'm not a big fan of pull start.

RE: sts .30

Yeah, I know about the air leaks. I sealed the sts .28 I had and it did wonders. I just wasn't sure if the .30 was worth a shot or not. I will prolly end up with a picco. Tower hobbies has a $20 off...

sts .30

I was wondering if this is still a worthwhile motor to get? The motor cost about $120. I've had the sts.28 and loved that motor and it is still going strong in a friends savage. I know there is some...

foc conversion question

I did the search and everything couldn't find the answer I needed. What bearings do the washers go on? In the directions it just shows the bearings and no washers but the kit came with washers. ...

RE: roto start mach 427????

I wasn't able to use the spin start because the rear bumper gets in the way and the starter shaft won't reach. Thats why I had to just use the drill. Maybe my bumper was out of alignment or...

RE: roto start mach 427????

I have a sportwerks .26 same motor and I just use a drill. The losi spin start won't work but a drill works just fine with the spin start back plate.

new owner lst2

I just bought a lst2 off my friend. All I can say right now is that it handles better than my savage. I am hoping to race when the weather gets better. But it is fun driving in the snow. I had to...

RE: .25 .28 or .32?

I love it. It's a screamer and is very easy to live with. Set the tune and forget about it. I had a sts .28 and I don't miss it not saying anything bad about the sts just the sportwerks has plenty...

RE: Do i need to seal the sportwerks.26v2 engine?

I have the sportwerks v2 and it is a great motor. Easy to tune and a lot of power. Once you have it broke in with the stock 15/49 gearing the truck with flip right over so you might want to get a...

RE: Spur gear problem on HPI Savage X 4.6

I would also look into getting aluminum clutch shoes. The stock ones slip alot thus heating up the clutch bell and aiding in stripping the spur because of the heat. The aluminum grip alot better...

RE: ugh... noob in distress :D

When applying the brakes the carb slide should not move at all. I think you have to adjust your linkage like some people already said. If you start it up with the slide halfway open like you said...

RE: Cheaper options to stop stripping spur gears

When I put the motor mount on the mounting plate the mount would rock quite a bit and not sit flat. The mounting plate was brand new so I knew that was not bent. I had a new motor mount also and...

Correct me if I am wrong but didn't you post a video of your old savage making a similar sound. If you remember what you did to correct that engine noise it could help you with this one. I wish I...
