Got quite a few flights in on my 14lb, P47 Thunderbolt with one of these wee sweeties up front, easy starting, excellent throttle response and great value for money.

Sounds like you have a canny set-up going on there Euan and I suppose it's nice to have confidence in a motor, especially on a busy tug.
That would be Bob with the turbine Fox, it's the set-up I...

Hi Euan, how's things. I bet that Cub is kept busy so that motor will certainly be getting a good work-out. I'll get my backside down sometime soon hopefully and bring the Fox along too.
Cheers...

After watching Steve's video, I gave my AGM30 to a good friend who is a lecturer in auto engineering and a keen aero-modeler to check it out at work/uni. He came back to report that it was as close...

RE: New 81

I don't think a 50cc would be a tight fit, it would be the exhaust that may be a problem unless you go for a wrap around pitts style. I had a 3W 40cc in mine and it looked a bit lonely.;)

RE: GAS Saito

Hi Mike, give it a go. It would be a shame not to. I have had a H9 150 size P47 and it is a lovely plane to fly. I had an old 3W 40 in it and it was over powered really but fly scale at 1/2 throttle...

RE: GAS Saito

Hey Mike, the fg36 and H9 p47 150 is a good combo, there are some good vids on youtube, if you can get it running right that is. I had mine in a EF Yak 54 74" w/s and it was great fun.

Hi Tomas, I sold mine after 30 or 40 very enjoyable flights and I am now busy with a 1/5 scale FW190 and a YT International Hellcat.

RE: New 81

Hi Tomas, merry Christmas to you and a happy new year when it comes. That was lovely flying and if you keep landing like that you will be using that undercarriage for a very long time.

I would imagine they will be. Do you already have them? I have had two of these birds and put Sierra's in both, drop in and superb.

I totally agree with you there Ed, horses for courses. Oh and by the way, the FG36 is around £700 or $1100 over here.

RE: GAS Saito

I agree with you, the T240 is a canny plane, flew it on a 90 2/stroke glow for a while and it was a decent trainer. Think it will be a bit more energetic with this motor in.
