Hey Frog...

I have been flying Saito's for years... What "Constant Tweaking" are you refering to?

Have you seen me tweak my Saito 180? Tune it first flight of the day to adjust for...

SAITO 91 Prop Question - What do you think

I second the APC 14x6...

I have run many Saito 91's and this is about the best prop for the engine... Plenty of speed and lots of power!

Ikarus or Real Flight

I had the same problem at first, make sure you are calibrating it correctly... when it says move to extreme limit, it means SLOWLY circle the stick around to its limits, then let it recenter before...

YS 140 DZ Breakin

That sounds cheap for a Turbo Saratoga engine...

Of course my Falcon 900EX has about $5 million in engines on it (about $1.7 million each)... Now THATS expensive!

Re: A good computer to run the simulators?

DO NOT get the ATI card... get a GeForce 4 card with DDR memory... Preferrably a Ti4200, Ti4400 or Ti4600 version of the card... you can go as low as an MX440 version of the card.. do not go with...

A good pc system to run simulators

I have been building computers for over 10 years.... Here is what I would recommend:

Pentium 4 (minimum 2.0 Ghz)
512 MB Ram (DDR memory perferred)
GeForce 4 Video card (440MX minimum, Ti4200,...

Goldberg "Decathlon" .70, .91, 1.20, etc...

Props I would recommend:

Saito 91 - APC 14x6
Saito 100 - APC 15x6
Saito 120 - APC 16x6 or 15x8

The 16x6 is going to start giving you ground clearance problems, and a 15x8 will probably give...

Goldberg "Decathlon" .70, .91, 1.20, etc...

I would highly recommend the Saito 100 with an APC 15x6 prop...

I have flown Planedreamer's Decathlon many, many times and it has plenty of power...

Remember guys, this isn't a 3D machine... ...

Re: Slow and gentle flight?

Yes, it does a nice job of "low & slow" I would still recommend the Saito 100 as a powerplant, and a 15x6 prop would work great for you... You'll have plenty of power if you need it, but she will...

Saito 1.80. tach readings

The largest diameter prop Saito recommends is a 17"

Using a larger prop is like having the manifold pressure too high and the RPM's too low on an engine with a constant speed prop... Basically...

Saito 180c

Ok, heres mine:

RPM's: 9,000

Saito 1.80. tach readings

a 20" prop is way too big for this engine, no wonder you are only getting 7,900 RPM's...

Try an 18x6 and you will be much happier... you will gain about 1,000 RPM's and a lot more thrust!

This engine is perfect for this plane, almost has unlimited...

OS 1.6fx OR saito 182 in sig`s cap 231?

Go for a Saito 180 (Single) .... it will give you much better power than the 182 and be much lighter....

It also sounds much better than the OS 160FX...
