RE: Flyzone Sky Fly

You are absolutely right. However, in my experience, it would take way more than shortening the boom by 1" to make a difference. I may be wrong, but... I would just hate to see you shorten it by...

RE: Flyzone Sky Fly

Guver:
It is hard to believe that the out of the box skyfly2 won't balance with the stock battery (moving it forward or aft). Did you add extra glue or tape to the tail for repairs?

Trimming...

RE: Flyzone Sky Fly

Guver:
If it is balancing behind the lines, that means it was already tail heavy. A plane that is tail heavy will pretty much fall out the sky as you mentioned. As they say, a plane that it too...

RE: Flyzone Sky Fly

It can be done, but it is not easy. Someone else might be able to give you pointers.

However, instead of re-doing the fishing line, I would recommend doing the pushrod modification. It is...

RE: Flyzone Sky Fly

As far as I know it is for any sky fly. now they have 3 versions.

Yeah, I guess you can't eliminate the spinner on that design. No problem. It looks like you can replace it if needed with...

RE: Flyzone Sky Fly

I assume you have the SF2...the red one. Cheap spinners are usually problematic. If it was out of balance it could eventually cause it to strip. If you can do without the spinner you will probably...

RE: Flyzone Sky Fly

Good deal. It sounds like you have it set. Best of luck.

3 additional suggestions on the maiden flight...
- hand launch it (into the breeze of course)
- keep the flight to about 5 mins or...

RE: Flyzone Sky Fly

You should definitely work to get the horizontal stabilizer/elevator aligned with the wing. In doing so, the vertical stabilizer/rudder, should be perpendicular to both the wing and horiz stab. If...

RE: TUCANO 60 electric conversion

Hi Mimoore:
How is the electric conversion coming along? Does this model have a hatch or do you have to take the wing off to change the batteries?

RE: Flyzone Sky Fly

Hi Herb:
What you are describing could be one of several things:

1) rtf transmitters are pretty touchy. If you are not bringing the elevator stick back in a perfect linear movement, then you...

RE: ParkZone Slo-V Review

Yes, good to hear. Yes, the manual is pretty poor for a beginner. If I recall correctly, it doesn't even tell you the center of gravity...which is really a problem with a moveable wing. ...

That might work...charging them at a lower rate on the supplied charger. Give it a shot...but monitor it.

By a real charger, I mean a higher end charger capable of charging various...

John is correct, nimh batteries can be tricky. Do you happen to have a "real" charger...or does a friend? Several cycles should/might get them to their full 600mah potential. A quicker...

RE: ParkZone Slo-V Review

Nope, but if you can't find one...or a new one is too expensive, you should consider putting in a standard brushed controller and servos (esc and servos)...or better yet, upgrade to brushless (motor,...
