RE: Ultimate 120 cowling

Good thought - I was thinking of trying something along those lines. I could also balsa sheet the underside of the broke part and then fill over it. Something to play around with.

Here's a pic of...

RE: Ultimate 120 cowling

Thanks, yes that was the reason I had mentioned it and also maybe to let others know before they lose their canopy as well! It's a real shame because this model is I believe out of production and...

RE: Ultimate 120 cowling

Iappreciate your advice. I can tell you for certain that this canopy is plastic, not fibreglass. The ARFcame with wood screws for the purpose of securing the canopy...I just wanted to make it known...

RE: Scale body for Blade 400?

So a scale body for a TRex 450 would fit a Blade 400 then? The HKones look great and Darth's has a few nice ones too, but Ialso would like to know that it would for sure fit before ordering one. Has...

RE: Good 2nd plane for someone on a budget?

I had the GP Escapade, then later the H9 Pulse XT 40. The Escapade was IMO a better built ARF and flies nicely too. It has higher wing loading, meaning that it needs a bit more speed to fly...

RE: color scheme

For visiblity, I think yellow/white combo stripes on top, black/white checkerboard on the bottom. Hard to mix those up. I do really like this one that lnewqban put up a link to - very sporty!

RE: How many times do you crash?

Been flying 4 months, have 4 planes, crashed 'em all at least once. Only wrecked one, the rest were repairable. Oh well, I'm still learning.

RE: Ruined my weekend

+1 on the Monokote sticky-back "trim sheets". I have used them to patch up tears etc. and it works great. Perfect color matching, and it can even be ironed a little bit.
