RE: Blade 400 and Wind...

That sounds pretty scary and not very enjoyable. Several things come to mind from what your saying. Uneven mountainy terrain, or large buildings nearby can make wind do weird stuff. It could be a...

RE: Blade 400 and Wind...

The bigger heavier nitro heli would yes be able to withstand higher winds (to a point). A bigger rotor disk manipulating more air always wins. A nitro motor also provides excellent power and in my...

RE: Blade 400 and Wind...

Standing on a basketball I like that. I guess nose in hovering would be standing on the basketball with rollerblades then. Anyways Head speed is the key. The Blade 400 actually flys great in wind...

RE: Blade 400 - Tips, tricks, and mods

Bought some carbon fiber rod and combined with some finishing caps made some flybar stiffners. Also bought and installed Align aluminun flybar cage sides. The plasic ones were just slipping where the...

RE: Blade 400 - Tips, tricks, and mods

Now here at home looking at both of them, Its a little more complex than that. It doesnt seem it would work unless you change the whole head system, The blade grip linkage balls on the trex are in...

RE: Blade 400 - Tips, tricks, and mods

I beleive the Trex grips will go on since the feathering shafts are the same diameter. However the trex feathering shafts are longer than the blade's. You might have to experiment with both shafts...

RE: Blade 400 - Tips, tricks, and mods

Thats not good. I once in a while put a small amount of oil on the rear of the motor shaft and on the pinion to try keeping it smooth. Ive had an Eflite Park 480 outrunner for about three years now....

RE: blade 400 servo failure

I think the Eflite servos pretty much serve their surpose to hover and a little beyond. Once into forward flight and a little hard turning, It wold be nice to treat the little blade to a servo...

RE: blade 400 servo failure

Dont worry the Blade is fine and still cheaper than a kit with or without upgraded servos. People change and upgrade parts on ALL helis. What fun would they be if you couldnt. I have Hitec HS-65MG...

RE: Blade 400 Tracking In Forward Flight

Not sure if I understand 100% , but if so something similar did happen to mine after I replaced some parts and messed with it. I noticed that if the swashplate travels to much it could stretch the...

RE: Blade 400 - Tips, tricks, and mods

Im sure there are better more expensive choices as far as tail servo, but I have had good results using the HITEC carbonite HS-56HB on the tail of my 450se with a GY401, and now on the blade 400 with...

RE: Blade 400 - Tips, tricks, and mods

I think the ticking your talking about is just the machine working and turning. I think Ive heard mine do it also when I spin the rotor by hand. Similar to a bicycle turning freely. Thats not bad...

RE: If you dislike E-flite blades then please just go away

Im not sure Id give a left nut but that 70 Camaro with the snorkel is pretty mean lookin. Anyways as far as electric helis are concerned, Ive had the Trex 450se since it first came out. Its a Great...

RE: E-flite Taylorcraft

Not sure if you done this already but, try adding some expo on the elevator. It makes the servo a little less sensitive and that helps alot too.

RE: E-flite Taylorcraft

Cubby888 - The Eflite talorcraft is easy to land in my opinion. It doesnt have any bad tendencies that Ive seen as far as nosing over, dipping wings at low spped or anything like that. As csclark900...

RE: T-Rex 500 vs Blade 400

The blade 400 in my opinion is a plastic low cost heli that flys great and perfect for some one moving up. I recently bought one for kicks and find myself flying it more than my trex 450se. In spite...
