RE: *ASM Cessna 182 (10ft) 30-50cc*

Did you have any joy with this? Have you new under carriage you are using with the 3.5 and 4.0 inch combo mentioned above or are you still on stock legs?

RE: *ASM Cessna 182 (10ft) 30-50cc*

You could try speaking to Carbon Copy. I have some of their fibreglass legs on a 50cc Katana and they are awesome. 2 other benefits for you if you end up using them, 1) the finish is white, 2) they...

RE: *ASM Cessna 182 (10ft) 30-50cc*

Hi Stew

Would like to see some pics of how the larger wheels / repositioned axles look. As for the front, back on post 297 there was a link to a little guide to replacing the nose leg for a...

RE: *ASM Cessna 182 (10ft) 30-50cc*

I guess you are right - it's got to be one of the least scale large models on the market! Maybe that's why it's not on the market any more! I certainly don't have the skills to get it better scale...

RE: *ASM Cessna 182 (10ft) 30-50cc*

The problem with the PT horns is not quality, or the threaded rod or connection to the linkage rods, it's the nice looking "sculptured aluminium horns". The surfaces of these are parallel to each...

RE: *ASM Cessna 182 (10ft) 30-50cc*

I did not find any problems with the control horns, but the more i looked at them the weaker they looked. I have stronger horns on 90 size models. When building the Cessna, I did upgrade control...

RE: *ASM Cessna 182 (10ft) 30-50cc*

Hi Ian

The big 182 looks fabulous against that immaculate green field you have! Did you sort out the nose leg?

Is the 'Aeromodel lighting' from Brain Cube? Would it be possible to let us...

RE: *ASM Cessna 182 (10ft) 30-50cc*

I don't know anything about FPV, but why can't you use 2.4 FPV with 2.4 flight control set up? If the FPV has its own transmitter / receiver then it wouldn't interfere with the normal control set up...

RE: *ASM Cessna 182 (10ft) 30-50cc*

Sounds like its been a real love / hate affair!!!

I spent the last few weeks removing the Turnigy 52cc and installing a Zenoah G62. Power increase is unbelievable, but its meant a little more...

RE: *ASM Cessna 182 (10ft) 30-50cc*

Hi Matt

Helpful post on the Robart nose leg above drew me back to the thread! Somehow missed your request above. Have you flown the baby yet and is it all set up now? If not, I can let you...

RE: *ASM Cessna 182 (10ft) 30-50cc*

Hi Daniel

Your friends are correct in their opinion of the nose leg! After only one medium heavy bounce, mine bent quite badly. The metal they are made from is reasonably strong, but then they...

RE: *ASM Cessna 182 (10ft) 30-50cc*

Hi

Weight wise you will probably be OK. The ZDZ80 weighs less than a Zenoah 62, which some people say makes it balance perfectly with no additional weight. However, I would be more concerned...

RE: *ASM Cessna 182 (10ft) 30-50cc*

RE: *ASM Cessna 182 (10ft) 30-50cc*

Hi Matt

Wow! Your second thought sounds like a lot of work! The hole I had to drill through the spat is only 4mm dia so, on the basis the ply is epoxied to the spat there is zero loss of...
