Exhaust gasket?

Where can I find an exhaust gasket for a Zenoah? It's the one between the engine and header. I have one for a Homelite, but it doesn't have the same dimensions.

RE: First true scratch build

The front was kind of tricky. I knew going in that I would have a hard time bending a peice of wood 2 different ways. Well, it didn't work. I sanded the bumps down and glassed the holes from the...

First true scratch build

I've built a few boats from wood (hydro, 2 Vees) and I've decided to build an eco boat (sub-drive) from my own design that I can race with my brother who has a ZigZag 2. It won't really be a fair...

RE: Airplane ESC for boat...?

In my experience you can't get an aircraft ESC to program correctly with a pistol grip radio...unless you want to rubber band your trigger forward. If not, then you need to get a PiStix adapter from...

RE: Revo tranny

Yeah, it was a good find. Brand new too! ...and, I'll have some spare bearings and a couple gears. Thanks again for your help.

RE: fast idle= pita

Check how far open the carb is when your just sitting there (take air filter off and look)...no need have the engine running at this point. The opening should be very small, maybe a millimeter. ...

RE: Revo tranny

It's not that. It is easy, but the list of parts I need is so big that it's cheaper to just buy the whole transmission. There were only 2 plastic gears that were not dinged up or stripped...

Revo tranny

I just picked up a Revo 3.3 #5309 for $100 and found out the tranny was smoked. I was wondering if the 5308 tranny will fit in it because I don't need reverse anyway. Is the reverse w/optidrive the...

RE: New rigger

With a strut depth of about 1/2in. on this rigger, would a 2" rudder be sufficient in length? It would be just over an inch past the bottom of the strut into the water. Do you think I should go...

RE: Is water cooling a must?

Just make sure that you prop it right. Start on the small size for the setup and like I said before check temps often especially at the beginning.

RE: Is water cooling a must?

I have a couple micro setups that run fast without water cooling. Your gear just simply has to be able to handle the current of running for a full pack without overheating. It's as simple as that. ...

ECO boats

Does anyone have any suggestions for where to get an Eco hull? I'm looking for a small one around the 15-20 in. range.

RE: 16' Rigger

Hey I just built a 16" rigger based on the Predator plans. I left out the rear sponsons and off course built with wood of slightly smaller thicknesses, but overall, it's a mini Predator. I'm going...

RE: New rigger

Thanks guys! It might be a while before I get it wet because seems that Offshore Electrics is OUT of just about everything I need to build this thing up. That sucks!

RE: New rigger

I think I will go with the long can 10L. I'm not sure what prop to start with. I have a modded 28mm and an X427 for my hydromite with a 380S I could start with, but the L motor should be able to...

New rigger

I just built this rigger for my brother and want it to be pretty fast, hopefully around 40mph. It's 16" long and I want to run 3 cell LiPo. I kind of figured one of these motors would be good for...

RE: Why does a boat behave like this?

My hydromite is doing the exact same thing. It appears to charge, I take it to the pond and it doesn't have the power to get on plane. Guess what? It had a bad cell. Good call Andy! Do exactly as he...

Thrust bearings

Anyone got any pics of a thrust bearing setup. I'm interested in putting them in my electric boats to take the "push" off the motor. I have an idea of where they go and how they're used, I've just...

RE: Rigger questions....help

Yeah, I think the 540 would be too big. Weight would be the killer in this hull.

I have a Feigao 380S, which has acanof 28X48,in a 16" Hydromite that hauls. I didn't see the feigaos on that site...

RE: Rigger questions....help

All good points...thanks for the help!

Do you think I would be ok to ommit the rear shoes from the Predator plans and still have a good running rigger if setup properly?</p>

RE: Rigger questions....help

Thanks for the help! I can see on the plans that the sides are angled but was unsure if there was maybe a 3 deg. angle or something small like that on the running surfaces of the sponsons. Thanks for...

RE: 24''Wildthing Build...first time builder

Not sure on the prop size for you because I'm not familiar with the motor or ESC you are running. Other than that...It looks very good!
