RE: Navy N3N

I just started an N3N blog. There isn't much out there, particularly a site the aggregates full size and modeling. Check it out:

RE: 1/4 Scale Luscombe

I gather you are building it as an 8E ?

My dad did a fair bit of his private pilot training in Silvaire, finished up in a Taylorcraft.

RE: RT Aerospace 1/5th T-34C Build

Kim, your work continues to astound.

Last month one of the regulars here (don't remember if it was Kim or someone else) sent me an email asking if I had gotten back into my project. I hit...

RE: RT Aerospace 1/5th T-34C Build

Great job all -

Keep those photos and videos coming! They pour the basement next week. I should be in my new shop by February or so. I will make great use of this thread as I try to catch...

RE: RT Aerospace 1/5th T-34C Build

Looks great, but don't make the wingtip TOO flush. The wingtip is much thicker material (approaching 1/8" thick?) than wingskins, so the panel line is exaggerated as you can see in the attached...

RE: RT Aerospace 1/5th T-34C Build

Yea, I'm jealous [&o]

All of my stuff is put away in storage as our home is for sale and it needs to look UN-lived-in.

Keep up the good work. This thread will make a GREAT reference when I...

RE: Top Flite DC-3 Retract Issue

Scott:

I am not completely certain what your issue is, but I'll take a shot at it:

When the gear is down, the main (hinged) gear legs should be just over center (a few degrees off center in...

RE: RT Aerospace 1/5th T-34C Build

The corrugations look great. I'm glad the Dremel did the job.

Question - The inner gear door liners, did you vacuform those? If so, could I beg you to make a pair for me?

RE: N3N-3 Yellow Peril

Don:

The bad news is that I have looked for years. I have only found one plan, and it is hardly scale. I can send it to you if you want. It is also posted on the thread mentioned below.

RE: RT Aerospace 1/5th T-34C Build

Ben:

I would think you could fill them all with HobbyLite filler and re-cut them with a Dremel. Try it on a piece of scrap and so you know how well it works.

Mine will be electric. I have...

I'm subscribed, so I read every post..

Thanks for the pics. I was right at the aileron / flap point in the project, so all info is appreciated.

RE: Servocity flight pack mixup?

And on a purely practical point, RCUniverse is a rather public forum. You put the name the supplier in the title of the thread and your posts have info saying that you are from Wyoming, Michigan.

RE: Glow or Watt?

I think a twin is a toss-up.

Four engines and up - electric is really the way to go: simplifies the setup, easy scale scale cowlings, flip the switch - push the throttle, and so on...

I...

RE: Servocity flight pack mixup?

I use an Optic 6 for my "parkies". Hitec has single channel modules and a "spectra" module for all 72MHz frequencies.

But why would you assume that you can just keep something that isn't what...

RE: Best scale photo!

You had me going for a bit, but the tire tread that is worn on the inside started me looking more carefully.

I decided it was full scale when I saw the fence. Nobody builds a scale chain-link...

RE: Rarebear starting at Reno for 2007

Personally, I like the Griffon engine swaps in the P-51 with the contra-rotating props. Started with the Red Baron in the late '70s.

But the -3350 aint bad;)
