If the 10 is the smaller one then I have done 2 of them, they work great but they are a squirly plane to fly at that size.

There are more differences than I can comment on in a short quote. Gas is Easier to set up a plane and get going, and easier to get a fast plane. I find park flyers easier to learn to fly by...

another problem might be the batteries, they might not let you draw enough amps, if the speed controller change does not solve the problem try a larger battery, ie: sub-C instead of AA

I had the same problem with a speed 300 motor and it turned out to be that it was just trying to draw more amps thant the speed controler would let it , I changed for a better esc and all was well. ...
