Hello... I've got some repair questions due to a lack of building experience.

My twist had a hard "landing" the other day, which resulted in some cracks in the fuselage ply. I used card stock...

Nylon bolt fatigue?

I have a Twist that I toss around the sky with some high g maneuvers. It occurred to me that if the single nylon bold failed in flight, it would not be pretty. Can nylon bolts fatigue with repeated...

RE: Couple Crash Videos from Japan - Eflight, Turbine, Trainers

As far as the turbine is concerned, why would you fly an aircraft like that in a place like that without first making sure you can land it there?

RE: Hobby Shop Rant

It seems I can consider myself lucky to have a LHS less than 5 miles away (between me and the field) that ONLY sells aircraft and heli kits, parts and supplies. Pretty much anything I need is there,...

RE: Blade CP Pro vibration issue

Are you using carbon fiber blades? I have a pretty serious head shake much like you describe when using the CF blades. I've tried three different sets, and they all have have same behavior. Seems...

RE: Micro Scale Apache

Somewhere on the net I saw a video of a guy flying (if you can call it flying, he barely got off the ground) a Blade CP with an Apache fuse on it. I cant find it now, but maybe if you google around...

RE: Finally packed in the 4-in-1

Futura - I'm going to go separates, unless the cost is prohibitive, in which case I'll just get the 3-in-1 + e-flite receiver option, then I can still use a separate HH gyro and have the plug and...

Finally packed in the 4-in-1

After 9 months of crashes and crashes and yet more crashes (sound familiar?) I finally had one too many crashes. Well, it wasn't so much a crash as it was a hard landing (after coming out inverted)...

RE: Seagull's "Dual Ace"

Has anyone tried putting a DA on floats? I was thinking of getting one and trying it out, I bet it would be really nice flying off water. There are not many twin float planes out there.

RE: LT-40 on Gee Bee floats - update

Yeah, they are not the best looking floats... but they were free, which makes up for alot. I've got the great planes 40 size fiberglass ones on order, so I will be putting those on for next time.

LT-40 on Gee Bee floats - update

Thanks to the helpful suggestions in this forum, I had 7 or 8 flights and countless splash and go's today. The LT-40 handled beautifully on floats! It looked very scale the way it flew. I did have...

RE: 33" Gee Bee floats for LT-40

Thanks for info - to both Jims.

I have an OS .46 FX on the LT-40 now, is there a prop that would be best for float flying given this aircraft / engine / float combo?
I think I have an 11x5 on...

33" Gee Bee floats for LT-40

I was given these floats by a club member for an upcoming float fly. at 33" I'm thinking they are too small / short for the LT-40. Is it worth giving them a try and see what happens?

Thanks

Will the Great Planes Sport Floats for .40 - .60 size aircraft (http://www.greatplanes.com/accys/gpmq1882.html) work well with an LT-40? At 34.5" they seem a little short. I know there are other...
