Not letting this thread die!!!

Hello all, I've acquired a couple of these RCM Trainer kits which I plan on building over the winter. Is there any advice on making the wing "bolt-on" like the Great Planes Trainer 60?

Apparently he is still up to his old tricks, he scammed me recently on an Ebay deal, he lives in Utah now and his email address is [email protected].

RE: ESM T-28

Hi folks, has anyone put any of the Saito radials in one of the ESM T-28's yet? I seen something about the 450, I would think that would kill this plane, had one in an 84" SU 26 and it dragged it...

RE: Need advice from the electric experts

I'm a conservative flyer with heli's, I really hate to bang them up. Since I already have 4 3S packs just for the Furion, I would prefer to stay with that for now. I ordered the Neu 1107H/1.5Y as...

RE: Need advice from the electric experts

Thanks Noobflyer,
everything I bought was "recommended", I researched everything and read the reviews (new about the bearing issue with Scorpion motors prior to buying). Looks like the Jazz ESC you...

Need advice from the electric experts

Hey all, I've decided to dive in to the world of electric heli's and think I may have bought without completeing my research. I am only a novice heli pilot (have 2 nitro heli's) but have flown planks...

RE: Did I get a good deal?

I think you got a fair deal. You didn't "steal" it at that price but still saved a small chunk of money if everything works.

RE: The World models Extra 330L 60 Size

Has anyone flown this plane with a YS 110? If so, what prop did you use? I'm currently thinking something in the 16-5W ~6 area. Don't want speed, just thrust and breaking.

RE: The best heli

IMHO, if you want the best and $$$ is no problem, buy an X-cell. I went in circles with with all the options and finally broke down and bought the following:

X-cell Furion 450 kit
2 X Century...

RE: UAV Job Opportunity - We Need R/C Pilots

Dorsal,

I used to have a "real job", you have to work too many hours and there's no money in it. I doubt this company can offer me more than I make now including the lap of luxury I live in to...

RE: Moved by seeing planes

I've been on Air Force bases my entire life, yet I still have to run out and see what kind of plane is flying by or it will drive me nuts. For me, the most awe inspiring aircraft moments are when I...

RE: Gorilla Glue thoughts?

I have found Probond/Gorilla glue to be superior to epoxy in all applications except for fuel proofing a firewall or fuel tank compartment. I have used it on construction from .40 size planes to 33%...

RE: scratch built KC-10

There was a company (PCM Models I think) that was marketing an L-1011 kit for a while, shouldn't be too far of from a DC-10. I believe they had it set up to use a single turbine in the fuselage and...

RE: Reno Air Races??

They always show it in the wee hours of the morning when everyone is asleep, and it's only for about an hour of coverage at most. They televise Oshkosh like it's the second coming on the wings...

RE: Great Planes Rapture .40

I am currently finishing a Rapture to be used as a rough field flier. The 4 star seems like it has fewer parts than the Rapture as well as being a little lighter. The Rapture builds into a stronger...

I use Probond/ Gorilla glue instead of epoxy in most cases anymore, it has proved to be stronger than epoxy in my applications. Thin CA glue works great for fuelproofing, also use aerogloss dope and...

RE: Reno Air Races??

The races made me go out and get a TF Sea Fury kit, just not sure yet which racer I'm gonna model after. I would also like to do an AT-6, I love watching them race (slow and noisy).

RE: Goldberg Ultimate 10-300

IMHO a 1.20 is overkill, it flies so much better with a lighter motor. remember, it was designed for a .60 in the day when a 1.20 FS had a poor power to weight ratio compared to modern FS's.

RE: Reno Air Races??

I was surprised that Dreadnought didn't run faster, looked like a .40 sized plane with a 1.08 shoehorned in the nose. What's all this hoopla that they may be moving the races out to the SouthEast? I...
