The short range problems were with the Mini-T RTR's, which have an AM radio. The Baja has an FM radio, I believe, and I've not seen any problems posted concerning those.

Turnaround was fast enough, the service guy was earnest, and they sent me a brand new radio, but the radio is no better than the original. I get about 40 to 50...

The radio range of my stock Mini T was barely 50 feet. I sent it back, but the replacement wasn't any better. I suggest for $30 more you get the Mini T Pro ARR and get a good radio and speed...
